ORDINANCE NO. 1806-89
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ST. LOUIS PARK ORDINANCE CODE
RELATING TO ZONING BY AMENDING SECTION 14-187(4)(w)
THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN:

Sec. 1. The St. Louis Park Ordinance Code, Section 14-187(4(w) is hereby amended to
Retail Store and Service Establishments
One (1) parking space for each one hundred and sixty (160) square feet of
gross floor area. Provided, however, that the property owner or tenant is only
required to pave and stripe one (1) space for each two hundred (200) square
feet of gross floor area if the following conditions are met:
(1) A parking plan for the property drawn to scale shall be submitted to
the Zoning Administrator and said plan shall indicate that the site can
comply with the total retail and service establishment parking
requirements stated above and with the parking lot design and
standards contained in Section 14-187(2) and (3).
(2) The portion of the site which is not paved and is capable of containing
the amount of parking equal to the difference between the total
amount of required parking and the amount of parking required to be
paved is known as the proof of parking area and shall be suitably
landscaped and curbed in accordance with Sections 14-187(2) and (3) of
this Ordinance.
(3) The proof of parking area shall be clearly delineated on the parking
plan for the site.
(4) The paved portion of the parking area shall comply with Sections 14-
187(2) and (3) of this Ordinance
(5) The proof of parking area shall not be used to satisfy any other
landscaping requirement of this Ordinance, shall not be located in any
other area on the site which is otherwise required by the City codes or
Ordinances, and shall not be located in an area occupied by a building.
(6) The property owner shall be responsible for informing any subsequent
owner of the property of the parking status of the property.
(7) The City may, in its sole discretion, require that the proof of' parking
area be paved and striped in accordance with Sections 14-187(4)(w) and
14-187(2) and (3) to provide the total number of required parking
spaces on the site.
Sec. 2. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its publication.
