LOUIS PARK ORDINANCE NUMBER 1661-85 RELATING TO PUD ZONING THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Sec. 1. That Ordinance Number 1661-85 which established a PUD, Planned Unit Development, as described in the Ordinance is hereby amended to include the attached sign policy designated as Exhibit B. Sec. 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its publication. ATTEST: Reviewed for administration: City Manager Adopted by the City Council on September 18, 1989 t(/ ill'eut4A-1- May Approved as to form and execution: 1 SIGN POLICY NORMAN & LISSETTE ACKERBERG CAMPUS FOR SENIORS GENERAL EXHIBIT B * Stone logo panel shall be considered to be part of the signage * Sculpture, monuments, flag poles and similar items are not subject to the restrictions identified in this policy. * All sign lighting shall be either indirect or shall be of a backlit type. * All signs shall be setback a minimum of 10 feet from the West 36th Street right-of-way, the State Highway 7 right-of-way, the State Highway 169 right-of-way, and five feet from the Phillips Parkway right-of-way. * No signage will be permitted on the east side of Phillips Parkway. CAMPUS ENTRY SIGN The campus entry sign is the signage used to identify the Campus for Seniors at its entrance point at West 36th Street and Phillips Parkway. • * Maximum sign area for the campus entry sign shall be 70 square feet per sign face. * Maximum height for the campus entry sign shall be eleven feet. * One campus entry sign shall be allowed with a maximum of two sign faces. INDIVIDUAL GROUND SIGNS The purpose of these signs is to identify the individual buildings within the campus at the entrance points. * Maximum sign area shall be 30 square feet per sign face. * Maximum height for the individual ground signs shall be six feet. * A total of five individual ground signs shall be allowed. Page 2 BUILDING SIGNS The purpose of the building sign is to display a logo, building identification, or particular service within the building. • The maximum sign area allowed for a building sign shall be 20 square feet. GENERAL IDENTIFICATION SIGNS The purpose of these signs is to provide identification of the Senior Campus along with the services which are provided at State Highway Number 7 and State Highway Number 169. • One general identification sign shall be allowed along the frontage of State Highway Number 7 and one general identification sign shall be allowed along the frontage of State Highway Number 169. * Maximum allowable sign area for a general identification sign shall be 100 square feet per sign face. • Maximum height of a free-standing sign shall be 25 feet.
