HomeMy WebLinkAbout1780-89 - ADMIN Ordinance - City Council - 1989/04/03ORDINANCE NO. 1780-89 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING SALE BY THE CITY OF PROPERTY AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF T.H. 12 AND VERNON AVENUE THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: WHEREAS, on February 21, 1989, the City Council considered Planning Commission Case No. 89 -1 -RE, and has determined there is no public need for the remnant property within the southeast corner of T.H. 12 (proposed I-394) and Vernon Avenue which will remain unused for street/highway purposes pursuant to the construction of the I-394/Vernon Avenue interchange area; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Manager, or their designees, are hereby authorized on behalf of the City to negotiate the sale of the property and execute any and all documents necessary to complete the sale. Said disposition shall retain existing utility easements and shall include in the Purchase Agreement a condition that an access easement satisfactory to the City must be granted in perpetuity to the benefit of Tract C, R.L.S. No. 1484 to provide access from existing parking/driving areas of said Tract C to adjacent public roadway systems.
