HomeMy WebLinkAbout1758-88 - ADMIN Ordinance - City Council - 1988/09/061 4 ORDINANCE NO.1758-88 AN ORDINANCE VACATING STREET PORTION OF JOPPA AVENUE SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 7 THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. A petition in writing signed by a majority of all of the owners of all property abutting upon both sides of the street proposed to be vacated has been duly filed with the City Clerk, requesting vacation of the street, and the City Clerk has furnished a copy of said petition to the City Manager who has reported filing of same to the newspaper, the St. Louis Park Sun/Sailor, on July 4, 1988 as directed by the said notice and has conducted a public hearing upon said petition and has determined that the street is not needed for public purposes, and that it is for the best interest of the public that said street be vacated. Section 2. The following described street, as now dedicated and laid out within the corporate limits of the City of St. Louis Park, is vacated: That part of Joppa Avenue South lying Southerly of the Westerly extention of the South line of Lot 9, Block 2, Manhattan Park First Addition to the West line of said Joppa Avenue. reserving, however, to the City of St. Louis Park any and all easements that may exist in, over, and across the described property for storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main, and public utility purposes. Section 3. The City Clerk is instructed to record certified copies of this ordinance in the Office of the Hennepin County Register of Deeds or Registrar of Titles as the case may be. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its publication.
