ORDINANCE NO. 77.57-88
AN ORDINANCE RELEASING AN EASEMENT INTEREST
SOUTH OF GLENHURST AVENUE ABUTTING BASS LAKE PARK
THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. In order to obtain proper title insurance coverage
for the City's interests in the plat of Park Edge Addition, the
City Attorney has recommended that the City consider releasing its
interests in a private easement for street purposes over the
following -described property:
That part of the Northeast quarter of the Southeast
quarter of Section Six (6), Township Twenty -Eight (28),
Range Twenty -Four (24), according to the United States
Government Survey thereof described as follows:
Commencing at a point on the Southwesterly
line of "Minnikanda Oaks, Hennepin County,
Minnesota," according to the recorded plat
thereof, which is distant fifty (50) feet, at
right angles from the center line of Excelsior
Avenue; thence Southwesterly parallel with
said center line of Excelsior Avenue Thirty
(30) feet; thence Northwesterly at right
angles to Excelsior Avenue One Hundred Ninety
(190) feet to a point on the center line of
Greeley Avenue extended southerly; thence at
an angle of Forty -Eight degrees, Seventeen
minutes to the right, Ninety -Seven (97) feet
along said extended center line to the
Southwesterly line of said "Minnikanda Oaks,
Hennepin County, Minnesota"; thence
Southeasterly Two Hundred Fifty -Eight and
four/tenths (258.4) feet along last mentioned
line to beginning.
Hereinafter referred to as the "Easement Property."
Section 2. The St. Louis Park City Council has determined that
the Easement Property is not needed for public purposes and that it is
in the best interest of the public that said easement interests be
released.
Section 3. All interests of the City of St. Louis Park in the
following -described easement are hereby released:
An easement twenty-five (25) feet wide for street
purposes across the west twenty-five (25) feet of the
easement property.
A certified copy of this ordinance shall be filed in the
chain of title of the Easement Property.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect 15 days after
its publication.
