ORDINANCE NO. 1730-88
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ST. LOUIS PARK ORDINANCE CODE
RELATING TO ZONING BY AMENDING SECTIONS 14-109(b) AND 14-109(d)
TO PERMIT AIR CONDITIONING UNITS IN SETBACKS
THE CITY OF ST, LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN:
Sec. 1. The St. Louis Park Ordinance Code, Section 14-109(2)(b) is hereby
amended by adding subsection (iii) to read as follows:
(iii) Heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment
provided that no portion of such equipment shall extend
more than six feet from the principal structure, no portion
shall be more than 36 inches in height, and such equipment
shall be screened from view from a public right-of-way
by evergreen plantings.
Sec. 2. The St. Louis Park Ordinance Code, Section 14-109(2)(d) is hereby
amended to read as follows:
(d) In side or rear yards only: fire escapes not to exceed a width of three
(3) feet; off-street parking in the R-1, R-2 and R-3 Use Districts;
railroad spurs and sidings for loading and unloading Sof railroad cars in
the I-1 and I-2 Districts; and heating, ventilating and air conditioning
equipment in interior side yards, side yards abutting a street and rear
yards, provided that such equipment shall extend no more than six feet
from the principal structure and the equipment shall be screened from
view with evergreen plantings.
Sec. 3. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its publication.
