LOUIS PARK ORDINANCE CODE: SECTION 9-101 WATER RATES SECTION 9-231 SEWER RENTAL RATES SECTION 9-307 GARBAGE/REFUSE SERVICE RATES THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. That Section 9-101 entitled "Water Rates" is hereby amended o rea : Section 9-101. Water Rates (1) Rates. The rate due and payable to the City by each water user within the City for water taken from the City water supply system shall be: First 3,000 cubic feet $.448 per 100 cu. ft. Next 47,000 cubic feet $.416 per 100 cu. ft Over 50,000 cubic feet $.385 per 100 cu. ft. All charges for single and multiple family dwelling users shall be determined and payable on a quarterly basis, and all charges for commercial, industrial and institutional users shall be determined and payalbe on a monthly or quar- terly basis, provided;however, that there shall be a service charge to each water user for each quarter year period during which water service is furnished as follows: 1986 Service Charge Meter Size Monthly Quarterly 5/8 inch $ 2.34 $ 3.59 3/4 inch 2.60 4.37 1 inch 3.38 6.40 1-1/2 inch 4.99 10.82 2 inch 7.23 16.74 3 inch 12.74 31.51 4 inch 21.48 51.01 6 inch 41.50 100.00 8 inch 64.01 158.00 10 inch 87.98 212.99 12 inch 104.99 250.02 In case the meter is found to have stopped, or to be operating in a faulty manner, the amount of water used will be estimated in accordance with the amount used previously for the compar- able period. Where single and multiple family dwelling service is for less than a quarterly period, the quarterly service charge will be prorated. (4) Automatic Sprinkler System. Where a connection is made to an automatic sprinkler system for a standby service only, a charge for such service shall be made on an annual basis as follows: 2 inch pipe connection $17.95 3 inch pipe connection 23.90 4 inch pipe connection 35.90 6 inch pipe connection 47.85 8 inch pipe connection 59.80 10 inch pipe connection 71.75 12 inch pipe connection 80.60 Section 2. That Section 9-102 entitled "Charges for Services or oncl� o�iance" is hereby amended to read: Charges will be made and collected by the City Manager for the following water services: Tapping and making connections with the city watermains; for turning on and off water as requested or for nonpayment of water bills, or failure to repair leaks; for raising or lowering stopbox taps; for remote meter register installations; for meter -reading service;for meter -reading non-compliance; and for other services related to water department operations. Section 3. That Section 9-231 entitled "Sewer Rental Rates " is hereby amended to read: Section 9-231. Sewer Rental Rates. Charges for sewer service to residential and nonresidential users within the City provided in Section 9-230 hereof shall be $.84 per 100 cubic feet of water consumption as measured during the winter quarter (or as other- wise determined in Section 9-231 (1) and a service charge of $2.10 monthly or $6.05 quarterly per dwelling or account. Section 4. That Section 9-307 entitled "Garbage/Refuse Service Rates and BilTs"ris hereby amended to read: A service charge for garbage/ refuse collection and recycling service provided to residential dwel- ling units within the City shall be $20.25 per living unit for each quarter year.. A dwelling unit shall include all residential dwelling with one through four living units except condominiums. Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its publ i cavi on.
