LOUIS PARK MUNICIPAL CODE RELATED TO THE HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION, SECTION 1-341 THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. Section 1-341 (1) ( 2 ) ( 3 ) is amended as attached: Section 1-341. Membership of Commission and Terms. (1) The Commission shall consist of eleven members, 41 eight regular members and three ex officio members all appointed as hereafter set forth. (2) Eight regular members, at least one of whom shall be an attorney at law, shall be appointed by the City Council for a term of three years. (3) All regular members of the Commission shall be re- sidents of the City of St. Louis Park. Any vacancies in the regular membership of the Commission shall be filled in the same manner as in the case of an original appointment for the unexpired term of a member whose office shall be vacant. (4) Any regular member of the Commission may be removed at any time by the City Council. (5) The regular members of the Commission shall be appointed from persons who have demonstrated an interest in the Human Rights Commission. (6) one ex officio voting member shall be appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the Board of Independent School District No. 283 for a three year term unless such an appointment shall be sooner terminated by said Board. Said member need not be a member of said Board but must be a resident of the City. Such member shall be appoint- ed as soon as practicable after the first day of July in the year in which such term shall commence to serve un- til the 30th day of June of the third year of such term and until successor shall qualify. (7) The members of the Commission shall serve without pay. L LI (3) One ex officio voting member, who shall be a representative of the youth of the City, shall be appointed by the City Council and serve a term of one year. Such member shall be appointed as soon as practicable after the first day of May each year. Such member shall attend all meetings, shall vote and shall be counted in determining the quorum. (9) One ex officio member who shall be a member of the City Council shall be appointed by the City Council for a one-year term. NO Council member shall serve as an ex officio member for more than two consecutive years. Such member shall be appointed as soon as practicable after the first day of January of each year to serve until the 31st day of December of that year and until a successor shall qualify. The Councii member may vote when a tie vote occurs and shall be counted in determining a quorum.
