LOUIS PARK ORDINANCE CODE RELATED TO LICENSED TREE MAINTENANCE/TREATMENT, SECTIONS 13-119, 13-1491 and 13-1492 THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. The St. Louis Park Ordinance Code, Sections 13-119, 13-1491 and 13-1492, is amended to read as attached: Section 13-119, Insurance Required, continued Excavations and Pile -Driving Excavations in Public Places Explosives Garbage Hauler Gas Equipment Installer General Liability General Liability General Liability Automobile Liability General Liability (including products & completed operations) Liquor, Intoxicating Dram Shop Liability Liquor, Nonintoxicating Dram Shop Liability (if annual on - sales exceed $10,000 & off -sales exceed $20,000) Newspaper Vending Machine_ General Liability Plumber General Liability (unless have State ins.) Recycling Collection Container General Liability Taxicab Automobile Liability Tree Removal/Trimming General (noncomprehensive) Liability and Automotive Liability Towing Contractor Automobile Liability Theatre General Liability annual Wine, On -Sale Dram Shop Liability sales over $10,00 ) On all required liability insurance, except liquor licenses, the City shall be named as an additional insured in the policy. The policy shall provide that the coverage may not be terminated by the insurer except upon ten days' written notice to the City Clerk, and if such insurance is terminated and the applicant shall fail to replace the same with another policy conforming to the requirements of this section, the license shall be automatically sus- pended until the insurance has been replaced. r1117oard. 36Ord. 18;Ord. dd',,Od. 139962%1917; r 14136119178; Ord. 1575,10/�8�o16037118183; Ord. 16�fd , 6/3/85; Section 13-120. Limits for all liability insurance shall be $100,000 for bodily injury or death of any one person; $300,000 for two or more persons for the same accident or occurrence; and $50,000 for damage to property. The limits of liability may be provided in part by an umbrella excess liability form. (Sec. 13-120 added by Ord.' 1295, 5/5/75) Section 13-121. General liability insurance shall be written under the Comprehensive General Liability form, except where otherwise provided. Automobile Liability insurance shall be written in the Comprehensive form, including coverage for all owned, hired and nonowned automobiles. Approval of the insurance by the city shall not in any way relieve or decrease the liability of the applicant, and it is expressly understood that the city does not in any way represent that the specified insurance or limits of liability are sufficient or adequate to protect the applicant's interests or liabilities. No person shall engage in the business of cutting, trimming, removing or otherwise treating trees with trunks six inches or greater in diameter within the corporate limits of the City of St. Louis Park, unless a license for the conduct of such business, issued pursuant to this ordinance, shall have been obtained from the City Manager. Chemical Treatment. Applicants who propose to use chemicals to treat trees shall file with the City Clerk a copy of their Minnesota Department of Agriculture "commercial pesticide applicator" license. These applicants are exempt from the City's insurance require- ments so long as they do not engage in the trimming or removal of trees as described in Section 13-1490 above.
