LOUIS PARK ORDINANCE CODE: SECTION 9-101 WATER RATES SECTION 9-102 CHARGES FOR SERVICES OR NONCOMPLIANCE SECTION 9-231 SEWER RENTAL RATES SECTION 9-307 GARBAGE/REFUSE SERVICE RATES AND BILLS THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. That Section 9-101 entitled "Water Rates" is hereby amended to read: Section 9-101. Water Rates (1) Rates. The rate due and payable to the City by each water user within the City for water taken from the City water supply system shall be: First 3,000 cubic feet $ .43 per 100 cu. ft. Next 47,000 cubic feet $ .40 per 100 cu. ft. Over 50,000 cubic feet $ .37 per 100 cu. ft. All charges for single and multiple family dwelling users shall be determined and payable on a quarterly basis, and all charges for commercial, industrial and institutional users shall be determined and payable on a monthly or quar- terly basis, provided; however, that there shall be a service charge to each water user for each quarter year period during which water service is furnished as follows: 1985 Service Charge Meter Size Monthly Quarterly 5/8 inch $ 2.25 $ 3.45 3/4 inch 2.50 4.20 1 inch 3.25 6.15 1-1/2 inch 4.80 10.40 2 inch 6.95 16.10 3 inch 12.25 30.30 4 inch 20.65 49.05 6 inch 39.90 96.15 8 inch 61.55 151.92 10 inch 84.60 204.80 12 inch 100.95 240.40 In case the meter is found to have stopped, or to be operating in a faulty manner, the amount of water used will be estimated in accordance with the amount used previously for the compar- able period. Where single and multiple family dwelling service .is for less than a quarterly period, the quarterly service charge will be prorated. (4) Automatic Sprinkler System. Where a connection is made to an automatic sprinkler system for a standby service only, a charge for such service shall be made on an annual basis as follows: 2 inch pipe connection $17.25 3 inch pipe connection 23.00 4 inch pipe connection 34.50 6 inch pipe connection 46.00 8 inch pipe connection 57.50 10 inch pipe connection 69.00 12 inch pipe connection 77.50 Section 2. That Section 9-102 entitled "Charges for Services or Noncompliance" is hereby amended to read: Charges will be made and collected by the City Manager for the following water services: Tapping and making connections with the city watermains; for turning on and off water as requested or for nonpayment of water bills, or failure to repair leaks; for raising or lowering stopbox taps; for remote meter register installations; for meter -reading service; for meter -reading non-compliance; and for other services related to water department operations'. Section 3. That Section 9-231 entitled "Sewer Rental Rates" is hereby amended to read: Section 9-231. Sewer Rental Rates. Charges for sewer service to residential and nonresidential users within the City provided in Section 9-230 hereof shall be $.84 per 100 cubic feet of water consumption as measured during the winter quarter (or as other- wise determined in Section 9-231 (1) and a service charge of $2.10 monthly or $6.05 quarterly per dwelling or account. Section 4. That Section 9-307 entitled "Garbage/Refusg Service Rates and Bills" is hereby amended to read: A service charge for garbage/ refuse collection and recycling service provided to residential dwel- ling units within the City shall be $19.50 per living unit for each quarter year. A dwelling unit shall include all residential dwellings with one through four living units except condominiums. Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its publication.
