LOUIS PARK AND ADDING SECTION 15-319 TO THE ST. LOUIS PARK ORDINANCE CODE THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. The St. Louis Park Ordinance Code is amended by adding a Section to read: Section 15-319. Every owner, operator, or manager of any building who rents, leases or lets for human habitation any habitable room contained within such building on terms, either expressed or implied, to supply or furnish heat to the occupants thereof, shall maintain a minimum temperature of sixty eight (68) degrees Fahrenheit between September first and June first, inclusive, at a point three (3) feet above the floor level, and not closer than thirty-six (36) inches from any wall. The heating equipment shall be properly installed and maintained throughout the year. A habitable room shall be as defined by the Uniform Building Code. Section 2. Penalty. Any person violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine not more than five hundred dollars ($500) or by imprisonment for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days or both. Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication. Adopted by the City Council March 11,1985.
