HomeMy WebLinkAbout1639-84 - ADMIN Ordinance - City Council - 1984/12/03ORDINANCE NO. 1639-84 AN ORDINANCE VACATING PUBLIC STREET THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. A petition in writing signed by a majority of all of the owners of all property abutting upon both sides of the public street proposed to be vacated has been duly filed with the City Clerk, requesting vacation of the public street, and the City Clerk has furnished a copy of said petition to the City Manager who has reported filing of same to the newspaper, the St. Louis Park Sun/Sailor, on October 1, 1984 as directed by the said notice and has conducted a public hearing upon said petition and has determined that the public street is not needed for public purposes, and that it is for the best interest of the public that said public street be vacated. Section 2. The following described public street, as now dedicated and laid out within the corporate limits of the City of St. Louis Park, is vacated: West 18th Street lying between the west right-of-way line of Brunswick Avenue and the MN&S Railroad and bounded by Lot 1, Block 4 and Block 8, Thorpe Brothers, University Club Addition (abstract) and retaining an easement over the westerly 20 feet of the right-of-way to be vacated for pedestrian purposes. reserving, however, to the City of St. Louis Park any and all easements that may exist in, over, and across the described property for storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main, and public utility purposes. Section 3. The City Clerk is instructed to record certified copies of this ordinance in the Office of the Hennepin County Register of Deeds or Registrar of Titles as the case may be. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its publication.
