AN ORDINANCE VACATING PUBLIC ALLEY
(130 Feet East of Xenwood Avenue)
THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. A petition in writing signed by a majority of all of the owners of all
property abutting upon both sides of the public alley proposed to be vacated has been
duly filed with the City Clerk, requesting vacation of the public alley, and the City Clerk
has furnished a copy of said petition to the City Manager who has reported filing of same
to the newspaper, the St. Louis Park Sun, on February 22, 1984 as directed by the said
notice and has conducted a public hearing upon said petition and has determined that the
public alley is not needed for public purposes, and that it is for the best interest of the
public that said public alley be vacated.
Section 2. The following described public alley, as now dedicated and laid out
within the corporate limits of the City of St. Louis Park, is vacated:
The alley in that part of Block 26, Rearrangement of St. Louis Park, lying
southerly of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul, and Pacific Railroad right of
way and northerly of a line running from a point in the east line of Block 75,
distant 80 feet south from the southerly line of said right of way to a point in
the east line of Block 30, distant 40 feet south from the southerly line of said
right of way
reserving, however, to the City of St. Louis Park any and all easements that may exist
in, over, and across the described property for storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main,
and public utility purposes.
Section 3. The City Clerk is instructed to record certified copies of this ordinance
in the Office of the Hennepin County Register of Deeds or Registrar of Titles as the
case may be.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its publication.

rice president and general manager of the newspaper know as The St Louis Park Sun and has full
• knoµledge of the facts herein staled as follows (1) Said newspaper is printed in the English language in
neµ spaper format and in column and sheet form equivalent in printed space to at least 900 square inches
(2) Said newspaper is a weekly and is distributed at least once every week (3) Said newspaper has 50%
of its news columns devoted to news of local interest to the community which it purports to serve and does
not µholly duplicate any other publication and is not made up entirely of patents, plate matter and
ad%ertisement (4) Said newspaper is circulated in and near the municipalities which it purports to
serve, has at least 500 copies regularly delivered to pay ing subscribers, has an average of at least 75%
of its total circulation currently paid or no more than three months in arrears and has entry as second-
class matter in its local post -office (5) Said newspaper purports to serve the City of St Louis Park,
Golden Valle) School District No 275 and Robbinsdale School District No 281 in the County of Hennepin
and it has its known office of issue in the City of Hopkins in said county, established and open during its
regular business hours for the gathering of news, sale of advertisements and sale of subscriptions and
maintained by the managing officer of said newspaper or persons in its employ and subject to his
direction and control during all such regular business hours and devoted exclusively during such regular
business hours and at which said newspaper is printed (6) Said newspaper files a copy of each issue
immediately with the State Historical Society (7) Said newspaper is made available at single or
subscription prices to any person, corporation, partnership or other unincorporated association
requesting the newspaper and making the applicable payment (8) Said neµspaper has complied with all
foregoing conditions for at least one year preceding the day or dates of publication mentioned below (9)
Said neµspaper has filed µith the Secretary cf State of Minnesota prior to January 1, 1966 and each
Januar I thereafter and affidavit in the form prescribed by the Secretary of State and signed by the
managing officer of said newspaper and sworn to before a notary public stating that the newspaper is a
legal newspaper
He further states on oath that the printed Ordinance N0.1619-84 Summary
hereto attached as a part hereof µas cut from the columns of said ncµspaper, and was printed
and published therein in the English language, once each µeek for one successive µeeks
