HomeMy WebLinkAbout1619-84 - ADMIN Ordinance - City Council - 1984/03/19ORDINANCE NO. 1619-84 AN ORDINANCE VACATING PUBLIC ALLEY (130 Feet East of Xenwood Avenue) THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. A petition in writing signed by a majority of all of the owners of all property abutting upon both sides of the public alley proposed to be vacated has been duly filed with the City Clerk, requesting vacation of the public alley, and the City Clerk has furnished a copy of said petition to the City Manager who has reported filing of same to the newspaper, the St. Louis Park Sun, on February 22, 1984 as directed by the said notice and has conducted a public hearing upon said petition and has determined that the public alley is not needed for public purposes, and that it is for the best interest of the public that said public alley be vacated. Section 2. The following described public alley, as now dedicated and laid out within the corporate limits of the City of St. Louis Park, is vacated: The alley in that part of Block 26, Rearrangement of St. Louis Park, lying southerly of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul, and Pacific Railroad right of way and northerly of a line running from a point in the east line of Block 75, distant 80 feet south from the southerly line of said right of way to a point in the east line of Block 30, distant 40 feet south from the southerly line of said right of way reserving, however, to the City of St. Louis Park any and all easements that may exist in, over, and across the described property for storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main, and public utility purposes. Section 3. The City Clerk is instructed to record certified copies of this ordinance in the Office of the Hennepin County Register of Deeds or Registrar of Titles as the case may be. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its publication.
