LOUIS PARK ORDINANCE CODE RELATED TO ZONING BY AMENDING SECTION 14-185(5)(a): BILLBOARD SQUARE FOOTAGE THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Sec. 1. The St. Louis Park Ordinance Code, Section 14-185(5)(a), is amended to read as attached: SBS1 .0 RU6 (a) Within the "B-2" and "I" Use 'Districts, for a lot upon which a principal use other than billboards exists, any portion of the aggregate square footage of advertising space for such lot may be allocated to billboard use at the rate of 4 square feet of billboard surface to One square foot of aggregate square footage of advertising space to permit billboards of not to exceed 750 square feet in each area, provided the unused square footage would permit such maximum. (b) Within the "B-2" "I-1" and "I-2" Use Districts, the aggregate square footage of advertising space per lot when a billboard is the principal use shall not exceed 15 square feet per front foot of lot on a public right- of-way which is 50 feet or more in width, and such bill boards shall not exceed 750 square feet each in area. (Sec. 14-185(5)(b) amended by Ord. 1539, 1/4/82) (c) Billboards shall be subject to all yard and height requirements within the "B" and "I" Use Districts. (d) Where a billboard is illuminated, the source of light shall not shine upon any part of an existing residence or into a residential district or into a street. Off -Street Parking Areas and Loading Spaces Section 14-187. Off -Street Parking Areas and Loading Spaces. Regulation of off-street parking and loading spaces inthe Zoning Ordinance is to alleviate or prevent congestion of the public right-of-way and so to promote the safety and general welfare of the public by establishing minimum requirements for off-street parking, loading and unloading from motor vehicles in accordance with the utilization of various parcels of land or structures. All applications for an occupancy permit in all Use Districts shall be accompanied by a site plan drawn to scale and dimension indicating the location of off-street parking and loading spaces in compliance with the following requirements: (1) Application of off-street parking regulations. The regulations and requirements set forth in Section 14-187 shall apply to all off-street parking in all Use Districts. June, 1982 630 r Sec. 2. Penalty. Any person violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine not more than $500 or by imprisonment for a period not to exceed 90 days or.both. Sec. 3. This ordinance shall take effect 15 days after its publication.
