HomeMy WebLinkAbout1557 - ADMIN Ordinance - City Council - 1982/05/17ORDINANCE NO. 1557 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING SALE BY THE CITY OF 3036, 3044, 3054, 3100,'3152 AND 3156 LOUISIANA AVENUE SOUTH THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Sec. 1. Lots 19, 20, 22 and 24, Block 1, "Boulevard Heights" Addition, and Lot 1, Lot 13 except the North 30 feet, Lot 14, and Lot 15, Block 1, "Boulevard Heights Second" Addition, were purchased: for right of way for Louisiana Avenue widening. All of the lot was not required. The street can be constructed with the additional right of way of the east 13 to 22 feet and the houses and remainder of the lots are no longer a necessity. A construction easement will be retained for the duration of the construction. Sec. 2. The sale price will be determined by the cost of the properties and terms of the financing. Sec. 3. The Mayor and City Manager are authorized on behalf of the City to sell on a contract for deed with a minimum of 20% down - payment per property, a maximum of seven years with interest only at the rate of twelve'percent (12%) per annum, at which time the entire unpaid principal balance and all accrued interest thereon shall be due and payable. The buyer shall have the right to prepay, at any time, in whole or in part, the unpaid principal balance due under the contract for deed, without penalty or premium. Other types of financing will also be reviewed and considered on the basis of cost in points and/or other fees which would be an obligation of the City. Sec. 4. If the special assessment for the construction of Louisiana Avenue is not included in the sale price, the buyer shall assume said special assessments. Adopted by the City Council May17, 1982.
