HomeMy WebLinkAbout1503 - ADMIN Ordinance - City Council - 1981/04/2011 1 1 1 ORDINANCE NI 5 0 3 AN ORDINANCE VACATING PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENTS (Knollwood Mall Shopping Center) THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. A petition in writing signed by a majority of all of the owners of all property abutting upon both sides public utility easements proposed to be vacated has been filed with the City Clerk requesting vacation of the public utility easements, and the City Clerk has furnished a copy of said petition to the City Manager who has reported filing of same to the City Council, and the Clerk has published notice in the official City newspaper, the St. Louis Park Sun, on March 25, 1981, as directed by the Council, and the City Council has met at the time and place as published in said notice and has conducted a public hearing upon said petition and has determined that the public utility easements are not need for public purposes, and that it is for the best interest of the public that said public utility easements be vacated. Section 2. The following described public utility easements, as now dedicated and laid out within the corporate limits of the City of St. Louis Park, are vacated: Easement Description #1 All that part of the South One-half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 18, Township 117 North, Range 21 West, Hennepin County, Minnesota described as follows: A strip of land 20 feet in width lying 10 feet on each side of the following described centerline: Beginning at the Northeast corner of said South One-half of the Southeast Quarter; thence running West along the North line thereof a distance of 1466.4 feet; thence running South at right angles a distance of 430.00 feet to the actual point of beginning of the centerline to be described; thence continuing South along the last described course a distance of 80.00 feet and there terminating. Easement Description #2 All that part of the South One-half (S 1/2) of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of Section Eighteen (18), Township One Hundred Seventeen North (117 N), Range Twenty -One West (21 W), Hennepin County, Minnesota, described as follows: A strip of land Twenty (20) feet in width lying Ten (10) feet on each side of the following described center line: Beginning at the Northeast corner of said South One -Half (S 1/2) of the South- east Quarter (SE 1/4); thence running West along the North line thereof a distance of Fourteen Hundred Sixty -Six and Four Tenths (1466.4) feet; thence running South at right angles a distance of Four Hundred Forty (440) feet to the actual point of beginning of the centerline to be described; thence running East at right angles a distance of Two Hundred Thirty -Two (232) feet and there terminating. Easement Description #3 That part of the South One -Half (S 1/2) of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of Section Eighteen (18), Township One Hundred Seventeen North (117 N), Range Twenty -One West (21 W), Hennepin County, Minnesota, described as follows: Beginning at the Northeast corner of said South One -Half (S 1/2) of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4); thence running West along the North line thereof a distance of Nine Hundred Seventy -Five and Thirty -Four Hundredths (975.34) feet; thence running South at right angles a distance of One Hundred Eighty -Nine and Forty -Three Hundredths (189.43) feet; thence running West at right angles Five Hundred Thirty -One (531) feet; thence deflecting Forty -Nine (49) degrees, Nine (9) minutes, Thirty (30) seconds, to the left and running Southwesterly Two Hundred Twenty (220) feet to the actual point of beginning of the easement to be described; thence continuing along the last described line a distance of Ten (10) feet; thence running Southeasterly at right angles Thirty (30) feet; thence running Northeasterly at right angles Ten (10) feet; thence running Northwesterly at right angles Thirty (30) feet to the point of beginning and there terminating. Easement Description #5 All that part of the South One -Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 18, Township 117 North, Range 21 West, Hennepin County, Minnesota, described as follows: A strip of land 20 feet in width lying 10 feet on each side of the following described centerline: Beginning at the Northeast corner of said South One -Half of the Southeast Quarter, thence running West along the North line thereof a distance of 1466.4 feet; thence running South at right angles a distance of 225.43 feet to the actual point of beginning at the centerline to be described; thence continuing South along the last described course a distance of 204.57 feet and there terminating. Easement Description #6 All that part of the South One -Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 18, Township 117 North, Range 21 West, Hennepin County, Minnesota described as follows: A strip of land 20 feet in width lying 10 feet on each side of the following described centerline: Beginning at the Northeast corner of said South One -Half of the Southeast Quarter; thence running West along the North line thereof a distance of 1466.4 feet; thence running South at right angles a distance of 285 feet to the actual point of beginning of the centerline to be described; thence running West at right angles a distance of 96 feet; thence deflecting 20 degrees 30 minutes to the left and running Southwesterly a distance of 130 feet and there terminating. Section 3. The City Clerk is instructed to record certified copies of this ordinance in the Office of the Hennepin County Register of Deeds or Regitrar of Titles as the case may be. 1 Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its publication.
