HomeMy WebLinkAbout1502 - ADMIN Ordinance - City Council - 1981/04/20ORDINANCE NO.12 AN ORDINANCE VACATING PUBLIC UTILITY AND DRAINAGE EASEMENT In and Adjacent to Shelard Park THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. A petition in writing signed by a majority of all of the owners of all property abutting upon both sides of the public utility and drainage easement proposed to be vacated has been duly filed with the City Clerk requesting vacation of the public utility and drainage easement, and the City Clerk has furnished a copy of said peitition to the City Manager who has reported filing of same to the City Council, and the Clerk has pub- lished notice in the official City newspaper, the St. Louis Park Sun, on March 25, 1981, as directed by the Council, and the City Council has met at the time and place as published in said notice and has conducted a public hearing upon said petition and has determined that the public utility and drainage easement is not needed for public purposes, and that it is for the best interest of the public that said public utility and drainage easement be vacated. Section 2. The following described public utility and drainage easement, as now dedicated and laid out within the corporate limits of the City of St. Louis Park, is vacated: That part of the 15.00 foot wide utility and drainage easement which adjoins the southerly and westerly lines of Lot 1, Block 7, Shelard Park, and which lies easterly of a line concentric with and 10.00 feet easterly from the easterly line of Ford Road, and westerly of a line parallel with and 7.50 feet west from a line drawn from a point on the north line of said lot, distant 64.51 feet westerly from the northeast corner of said lot to a point on the south line of said lot, distant 68.97 feet westerly from the southeast corner of said lot. Section 3. The City Clerk is instructed to record certified copies of this ordinance in the Office of the Hennepin County Register of Deeds or Registrar of Titles as the case may be. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its publication.
