LOUIS PARK ORDINANCE CODE: SECTION 9-101, "WATER RATES"; SECTION 9-231, "SEWER RENTAL RATES"; AND SECTION 9-232, "SEWER BILLS" THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Sec. 1. That Sections 9-101, 9-231 and 9-232 entitled "Water Rates," "Sewer Rental Rates" and 'Sewer Bills" respectively, are hereby amended to read: Section 9-101. Water Rates (1) Rates. The rate due and payable to the City by each water user within the City for water taken from the city water supply system shall be: First 100,000 cubic feet Next 300,000 cubic feet Over 400,000 cubic feet $.35 per 100 cu. ft. $.34 per 100 cu. ft. $.33 per 100 cu. ft. All charges for Single and Multiple Family dwelling users shall be determined and payable on a quarterly basis, and all charges for commercial, industrial and institutional users shall be determined and payable on a monthly basis, provided; however, that there shall be a minimum charge to each water user, for each quarter year period dur$ri9 which -water service is furnished as follows: Meter Size 5/8 inch 3/4 inch 1 inch 1' inch 2 inch 3 inch 4 inch 6 inch 8 inch Quarterly Minimum Charge $ 3.50 4.90 8.25 16.35 26.30 52.60 82.10 164.30 262.90 In case the meter is found to have stopped, or to be operating in a faulty manner, the amount of water used will be estimated in accordance with the amount used previously for the comparable period. Where Single and Multiple Family dwelling service is for less than a quarterly period, the quarterly minimum charge will be prorated. Section 9-231. Sewer Rental Rates. Charges for sewer service to to residential and nonresidential users within the City provided in Section 9-230 hereof shall be: Seventy-two cents ($.72) per 100 cubic feet of water consumption as measured during the winter quarter (or as otherwise determined in Section 9-231 (1) or a minimum of $11.70 per dwelling unit. Section 9-232. Sewer Bills. It is hereby made the duty of the Director of Finance to render to the owners, lessees, or occupants of all classes of property on the first day of each month, or on the first day of each quarter, as is appropriate, bills for the amount of sewer rental charge as provided in Section 9-231 hereof. Said bills may be a surcharge upon the water bilis rendered to said persons. All such charges when collected shall be placed in a separate fund. These funds shall be used only for the purpose authorized by Section 444.075, Minnesota Statutes, and such charges if unpaid may be collected on direction of the City Council as authorized by Section 444.075, Minnesota Statutes, as set forth in Sections 9-230, 9-231 and 9-232 hereof. Sec. 2. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its publication. Adopted by the City Council December 29, 1980.
