HomeMy WebLinkAbout1411 - ADMIN Ordinance - City Council - 1978/06/051 1 ORDINANCE NO. 1411 AN ORDINANCE VACATING PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENTS THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. A petition in writing signed by a majority of all of the owners of all property abutting upon both sides of the public utility easements proposed to be vacated has been duly filed with the City Clerk, requesting vacation of the public utility easements,and the City Clerk has furnished a copy of said petition to the City Manager who has reported filing of same to the City Council, and the Clerk has published notice in the official City newspaper, the St. Louis Park Sun, on May 3, 1978 as directed by the Council, and the City Council has met at the time and place as published in said notice and has conducted a public hearing upon said petition and has determined that the public utility easements are not needed for public purposes, and that it is for the best interest of the public that said public utility easements be vacated. Section 2. The following described public utility and drainage easements, across Lots 1, 2, and 3, Block 8, Shelard Park, according to the plat on file and of record in the Office of the County Recorder, Hennepin County, Minnesota, and as now dedicated and laid out within the corporate limits of the City of St. Louis Park, are vacated: A strip of land 15.00 feet in width, the centerline of which is described as follows: Commencing at the Southwest corner of said Lot), Block 8; thence North along the West line of said Lot 1, a distance of 10.00 feet to the actual point of beginning of the centerline to be hereinafter described; thence continuing North along said West line of Lot 1 a distance of 289.10 feet to the Northwest corner of said Lot 1, and there terminating. Said strip of land to be vacated is to extend by its full width North to the Northerly line of said Block 8. Also a strip of land 15.00 feet in width, the centerline of which is described as follows: Commencing at the most Southerly corner of said Lot 3, Block 8; thence Northeasterly along the Southeasterly line of said Lot 3, a distance of 10.00 feet to the actual point of beginning of the centerline to be hereinafter described; thence continuing Northeasterly along said Southeasterly line of Lot 3, a distance of 232.06 feet to the most easterly corner of said Lot 3 and there terminating. Said strip of land to be vacated is to extend by its full width Northeasterly to the Northeasterly line of said Block 8. Section 3. The City Clerk is instructed to prepare a Notice of Completion containing a copy of this ordinance and to file the Notice in the Office of the Register of Deeds or Registrar of Titles, in and for the County of Hennepin, Minnesota, as the case may be. 1 •--.4- Section 4.
