LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Sec. 1, The St. Louis Park Ordinance Code is amended by adding Section 4-202.101 to read: 1 i 1 •Line right-of-way to the West City limits at Texas Avenue extended; thence North on Texas Avenue extended and Texas Avenue to Division Street; thence west on Division Street and Division Street extended to the west City limits; and the Ward shall be comprised of Voting Precincts 1,2,3,4 and 5, as adopted by Resolution of the City Council. Section 4-104. Ward No. 4 shall be the area bounded on the west by the west City limits, on the north by the north City limits to the Minneapolis, Northfield and Southern Railroad right-of-way; thence southerly on the said Railroad right-of-way to the Main Line of the Burlington Northern Railroad right-of-way; thence southwesterly on the said Main Line right-of-way to the west City limits, and the Ward shall be comprised of Voting Precincts 1,2,3,4 and 5, as adopted by Resolution of the City Council (amended Ord. 1211 3-6-73). PART 2 - Elections and Polling Places Section 4-201. Primary Elections. At the first regular meeting of the City Council following the last day for filing nomination petitions for any regular City election, the City Manager shall inform the City Council in writing as to the nomination petitions which have been filed with the City Clerk for the purpose of nominating candidates for the next ensuing regular City election, as the same have been certified to the Manager by the Clerk. Section 4-202. Designation of Polling Places. The City Council shall by ordinance or resolution designate the places of holding each regular, special or primary election within the City at least 15 days prior to such election, but if no such ordinance or resolution be so adopted the election shall be held at the places where the preceding election was held, subject to change before the opening of the polls as may be authorized by law. Section 4-202.101. Absentee Ballot Precinct. Pursuant to the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, Section 207.30, the Council of the City of St. Louis Park hereby establishes an absentee ballot precinct in the City of St. Louis Park. Said absentee ballot precinct will encompass the entire City of St. Louis Park for the purpose of receiving all absentee ballots for any primary or general election, or special referendum held within the municipality. The absentee ballot precinct shall be under the direct charge and supervision of the City Clerk; and the place for receiving, tabulating and counting of absentee ballots shall be at the office of the City Clerk in the City Hall. Section 4-203. Hiring of Judges and Clerks of Election. The Council shall, at least ten days before each municipal election, appoint three qualified voters of each voting precinct to be judges of election therein, or as many more or less as may be determined by the Council provided that when voting machines are used, clerks shall be hired. No person signing or circulating a petition of nomination of a candidate for election to office shall be eligible to serve as judge or clerk of such election and the City Clerk shall June 6, 1978 58 i w '' Sec 3.
