Home My WebLink About1370 - ADMIN Ordinance - City Council - 1977/05/021 ORDINANCE NO. 1370 ORDINANCE VACATING PORTION OF DAKOTA AVENUE THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. A petition in writing signed by a majority of all of the owners of all property abutting upon both sides of the public street proposed to be vacated has been duly filed with the City Clerk, requesting vacation of the public street, and the City Clerk has furnished a copy of said petition to the City Manager who has reported filing of same to the City Council, and the Clerk has published notice in the official City newspaper, the St. Louis Park Sun, on April 8, 1977, as directed by the Council, and the City Council has met at the time and place as published in said notice and has conducted a public hearing upon said petition and has determined that the public street is not needed for public purposes, and that it is for the best interest of the public that said public street be vacated. Section 2. The following described public street is vacated under the description of the following legal description: That part of Dakota Avenue lying between West 35th Street and Walker Street and bounded by Lots 12-26, Block 17, rearrangement of St. Louis Park and Lots 25-35, and the adjacent portion of vacated Idaho Avenue lying in Block 3, rearrangement of St. Louis Park. reserving, however, to the City of St. Louis Park any and all easements that may exist in, over, and across the described property for storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main, and public utility purposes. Section 3. The City Clerk is instructed to prepare a Notice of Completion containing a copy of this ordinance and to file the Notice in the Office of the Register of Deeds or Registrar of Titles, in and for the County of Hennepin, Minnesota, as the case may be. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its publi- cation.
