LOUIS PARK ORDINANCE CODE REQUIRING DEVICES FOR/AND REMOVAL OF DOG EXCREMENT AND PROHIBITING DOGS, CATS AND OTHER PETS IN PUBLIC PARKS BY ADDING AND AMENDING SECTIONS THE CITY COUNCIL OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. The St. Louis Park Ordinance Code, Chapter 11, is amended by adding Section 11-307 to read: Section 11-307. Removal of Excrement. (1) It is unlawful for any person to cause or permit a dog to be on any property, public or private, not owned or possessed by such person, unless such person has in his/her immediate possession a device for the removal of excrement and depository for the transmission of excrement to a proper receptacle located upon property owned or possessed by such person. (2) It is unlawful for any person in control of, causing or permitting any dog to be on any property, public or private, not owned or possessed by such person, to fail to remove excrement left by such dog to a proper receptacle located on property owned or possessed by such person. (3) The provisions of this section shall not apply to the ownership or use of seeing eye dogs by blind persons, dogs when used in police activities by the City, or tracking dogs when used by or with the permission of the City. Section 2. The St. Louis Park Ordinance Code, Chapter 6-406 (1) is amended to read: Section 6-406 Prohibited Acts; Regulations. (1) It shall be unlawful for any person to cause or permit a dog, cat or other pet to be in any public park. Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its publication.
