LOUIS PARK ORDINANCE CODE RELATING TO ZONING AND CURBS AND GUTTERS BY AMENDING SECTION 14-187(3)(a), DESIGN AND MAINTEN- ANCE OFOFF-STREET PARKING AREAS, AND SECTION 6-123, DRIVEWAY WIDTH THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Sec. 1. The St. Louis Park Ordinance Code, Section 14-187(3)(a), is hereby amended to read: Section 14-187(3)(a). Access and Location. Parking areas shall be designed so as to provide adequate means ofaccess to a public alley or street. Such driveway access shall not exceed the width as specified in Section 6-123, and shall be so located as to cause the least interference with traffic movement. Sec. 2. The St. Louis Park Ordinance Code, Section 6-123, is hereby amended to read: Section 6-123. Driveway Width. No driveway from private property crossing a public sidewalk and entering a public street of the City shall be constructed in excess of 22 feet in width for single-family dwellings and 30 feet in width for other uses, measured at the center of the sidewalk line or at the property line in cases where a sidewalk does not exist. Upon a showing of necessity and public convenience, the City Council may grant a variance permit allowing a greater width. The City Engineer shall determine at what angles the driveway may approach the curb line from the sidewalk in order to provide for safe ingress and egress to the driveway. Sec. 3. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its publication. Adopted by the City Coun0 ober , 1 76.
