HomeMy WebLinkAbout1312 - ADMIN Ordinance - City Council - 1975/12/01• ORIGINAL J ORDINANCE NO. 1312 DECEMBER 1, 1975 8B ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 730, SECTIONS 6:032, 6:061, 6:071, 6:080, 6:091, 6:092, and 6:101 PROVIDING FOR FOSTER FAMILY HOME AND GROUP HOMES THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. Ordinance No. 730, Section 6:032, Definitions, is hereby amended by adding Sections 6:032.61, 6:032.62, and 6:032.63, to read as follows: Section 6:032.61. Family Day Care Home. A single-family home, duplex, or apartment unit providing day care for no more than five (5) children including the day care home operator's children under five years of age. Section 6:032.62. Foster Family Home. A family home where children out of their own homes are cared for 24 hours a day for a peiod of 30 days or more. Section 6:032.63. Group Home. A specialized residential facility that provides care on a 24-hour basis for a selected group and providing specialized care and a planned treatment program under the direction and control of an agency, institution or independent operator. Children of the group home parents under the age of 21 years of age present in the home are included in the total number of children permitted to live in the home. Section 2. Ordinance No. 730, Section 6:061, Permitted Uses in the R-1 Single Family Residence District, is hereby amended by adding Sections 6:061.8 and 6:061.9 to read as follows: Section 6:061.8. Foster Family Home or Family Day Care Home of five (5) or less children. Section 6:061.9. Group Home or Foster Home serving six (6) or less mentally retarded or physically handicapped persons. Section 3. Ordinance No. 730, Section 6:092, Uses by Special Permit in the R-4 Multiple Family Residence District, is hereby amended by adding Section 6:092.14 to read as follows: Section 6:092.14. Group home facility serving from 7 to 16 mentally retarded or physically handicapped persons provided there is a lot area of 800 square feet for each person to be accommodated. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its publication.
