AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFERS OF FUNDS
AND PROVIDING APPROPRIATIONS FOR SALARY ADJUST-
MENTS AND COMPENSATION FOR YEAR ENDING DEC. 31, 1975
THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That the sum of $56,000 be transferred from the Emergency
Appropriation of the General Fund, account 01 4467 000 34 to the following
account in the General Fund, to provide appropriations for salary
adjustments for fiscal year 1975:
4110 000 13 Police Protection - Salaries
4110 000 33 Unallocated General Expense - Insurance

Section 2. That the City Manager be directed to cause the appropriate
accounting entries to be made in the books and records of the City.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect January 1, 1975.

J R RITCHAY, being duly sworn, on oath says he 1s and during all times here stated has
been the vice president and printer of the newspaper known at The St Lows Park Sun and
has full knowledge of the facts herein stated as follows (1) Said newspaper is printed in the
English language in newspaper format and in column and sheet form equivalent in printed
space to at least 900 square inches (2) Said newspaper is a weekly and is distributed at least
once each week (3) Said newspaper has 50% of its news columns devoted to news of local
interest to the community which it purports to serve and does not wholly dupllcate any other
publication and is not made up entirely of patents, plate matter and advertisements (4) Said
newspaper is circulated in and near the municipality which it purports to serve, has at Least
500 copies regularly delivered to paying subscribers, has an average of at least 75% of its total
circulation currently paid or no more than three months in arrears and has entry as second-class
matter in its local post -office (5) Said newspaper purports to serve the City of St Louis Park,
Golden Valley School District No 275 and Robbinsdale School District No 281 in the County
of Hennepin and it has its known office of issue in the City of Bloomington in said county,
established and open during its regular business hours for the gathering of news, sale of
advertisements and sale of subscriptions and maintained by the managing officer or persons
in its employ and subject to his direction and control during all such regular business hours
and devoted exclusively during such regular business hours to the business of the news-
paper and business related thereto (6) Said newspaper files a copy of each issue immediately
with the State Historical Society (7) Said newspaper has complied with all the foregoing conditions
for at least two years preceding the day or dates of publication mentioned below (8) Said
newspaper has filed with the Secretary of State of Minnesota prior to January 1, 1966 and each
January 1 thereafter an affidavit in the form prescribed by the Secretary of State and signed
by the publisher of said newspaper and sworn to before a notary public stating that the newspaper
is a legal newspaper
He further states on oath that the printed Ordinance No. 1308
hereto attached as a part hereof was cut from the columns of said newspaper, and was printed
and published therein m the English language, once each week, for one successive weeks,
that it was first so published on Wed the 21
day of December 19_
and was thereafter printed and published on every to and including
the day of 19 and that the following is a printed copy
of the lower case alphabet from A to Z, both inclusive, and is hereby acknowledged as being
the size and kind of type used in the composition and publication of said notice. to -wit

ORDINANCE NO. 1308
AN ORDINANCE
, VACATING ALLEY
THE CITY OF ST LOUIS PARK
DOES ORDAIN
Section 1. It is hereby deternuned
that a petition in writing signed by a
majonty of all of the owners of all
property abutting upon both sides of
the
y proposed to be vacated, has
been duly filed with the City Clerk,
requesting vacation of the alley, and
the City Clerk has furnished a copy of
said petition to the City Manager who
has reported filing of same to the City
Council, and the Clerk has published
notice in the official city newspaper,
the St. Louis Park Sun, on September
18, 1975, as directed by the Council,
and the City Council has met at the
time and place as published in said
notice and has conducted a public
hearing on said petition and hereby
determines that the alley is not
needed for public purposes, and that
it is for the best interests of the public
that said alley be vacated as
petitioned
Section 2. The following descnbed
length of alley as not dedicated and
laid out within the corporate 'Units of
the City of St Louis Park, is vacated
All but the northerly 140 feet of
the north -south alley located bet-
ween Maryland Avenue and'
Nevada Avenue, West 14th Street
and West 16th Street, and
bounded by Lots 31, 32, 33, Northt
1/2 of Lot 34, North 2 of Lot 57,1
Lots 58, 59, 60, Richmond Second
Addition,
reserving, however, to the City of St
Louis Park any and all easements
that may exist m, over, and across
the described property for storm
sewer,sanitary sewer, water main,
and public utility purposes I
Section 3. The City Clerk is in-
structed to prepare a Notice of Com-
plgtion containing a copy of ttus ordi-
nance and to file the Notice in the Of-
fice of the Register of Deeds or Regis-
trar
egistrar of Titles, in and for the County of
He_nnepin, Minnesota, as the case
may be
Section 4 Ttus ordinance shall take
effect fifteen days after its publica-
tion
