LOUIS PARK ZONING ORDINANCE" BY AMENDING SECTIONS 6:064.5, 6:074.5, AND 6:084.5, AND BY ADDING SECTIONS 6:064.6, 6:074.6, AND 6:084.7 RELATING TO SIDE YARDS IN THE R-1, R-2, AND R-3 DISTRICTS The City of St. Louis Park does ordain: Section 1. Ordinance No. 730, is hereby amended by amending Section 6:064.5 to read as follows and by adding Section 6:064.6: Section 6:064.5 - The following minimum requirements shall be observed subject to the additional requirements, exceptions and modifications as set forth in Section 6:064.6 and Section 6:178: Lot Area 9,000 square feet Lot Width 75 feet Front Yard Depth 35 feet Rear Yard Depth 35 feet Side Yard Width One story structure: 9 feet on one yard and 6 feet on other yard except when there is an attached garage or the lot abuts an alley, both may be 6 feet. Two and Three Story Structures: 9 feet on one yard and 11 feet on other yard, except when there is an attached garage or when lot abuts an alley, both may be 9 feet. Section 6:064.6 - A single family home, which legally existed, or for which a valid building permit had been granted on or before December 28, 1959, may be added to in a manner that extends the existing side yard setback line on either an interior or corner lot, providing said existing setback line is not less than five (5) feet from the side lot line, the addition is not more than one story in height from the existing foundation, and the addition is not used for garage purposes. Section 2. Ordinance No. 730, is hereby amended by amending Section 6:074.5 to read as follows and by adding Section 6:074.6: Section 6:074.5 - The following minimum requirements shall be observed subject to the additional requirements, exceptions, and modifications as set forth in Section 6:074.6 and Section 6:178: Lot Area Lot Width Front Yard Depth Rear Yard Depth 7,200 square feet 60 feet 30 feet 25 feet • Side Yard Width One Story Structure: 9 feet on one yard and 6 feet on other yard, except when there is an attached garage or when the lot abuts an alley, both may be 6 feet.
