ORDINANCE NO. 1260
AN ORDINANCE VACATING UTILITY EASEMENT
THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. It is hereby determined that a petition in writing signed
by a majority of all of the owners of all property abutting upon both sides
of the utility easement proposed to be vacated, has been duly filed with the
City Clerk, requesting vacation of the easement, and the City Clerk has fur-
nished a copy of said petition to the City Manager who has reported filing
of same to the City Council, and the Clerk has published notice in the
official city newspaper, the St. Louis Park Sun on April 4, 1974, as directed
by the Council and the City Council has met at the time and place as published
in said notice and has conducted a public hearing for public purposes, and
that it is for the best interests of the public that said easement be vacated
as petitioned.
Section 2. The following described easement, as now dedicated and laid
out within the corporate limits of the City of St. Louis Park, is vacated:
The 7.5 foot wide utility and drainage easements along each
side of the Lot line common to Lot 1, Block 7, Shelard Park
and Lot 2, Block 7 Shelard Park; except that part of said
easement lying Northerly of a line parallel with and 10 feet
Southerly of the Northerly line of Lot 1 and its Easterly
extension, and except that part of said easements lying South
of a line parallel with and 15 feet North of the South line of
said Lots 1 and 2.
Section 3. The City Clerk is instructed to prepare a Notice of
Completion containing a copy of this ordinance and to file the Notice in
the Office of the Register of Deeds or Registrar of Titles, in and for
the County of Hennepin, Minnesota, as the case may be.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its
publication.
