LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. It is hereby determined that a petition in writing signed by a majority of all of the owners of all property abutting upon both sides of the portions of alley and street proposed to be vacated, has been duly filed with the City Clerk, requesting vacation of the alley, and the City Clerk has furnished a copy of said petition to the City Manager who has reported filing of same to the City Council, and the Clerk has published notice in the official city newspaper, the St. Louis Park Sun on December 20, 1973, as directed by the Council and the City Council has met at the time and place as published in said notice and has conducted a public hearing on said petition and hereby determines that the alley and street are not needed for public purposes, and that it is for the best interests of the public that said alley and street be vacated as petitioned. Section 2. The following described length of alley and street, as now dedicated and laid out within the corporate limits of the City of St. Louis Park, is vacated: That portion of Colorado Avenue from the southerly right-of-way line of Cambridge to the northerly right-of-way line of vacated 39th Street, with the retention of an all-purpose utility easement, and that portion of the east -west alley in Block 69, a line extended from the N.W. corner of Lot 18 to the S.E. corner of Lot 9, Block 69, rearrangement of St. Louis Park reserving, however, to the City of St. Louis Park any and all easements that may exist in, over, and across the described property for storm ewer, sanitary sewer, water main, and public utility purposes, and pedestrian way. Section 3. The City Clerk is instructed to prepare a Notice of Completion containing a copy of this ordinance and to file the Notice in the Office of the Register of Deeds or Registrar of Titles, in and for the County of Hennepin, Minnesota, as the case may be. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its publication.
