AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 730
ADOPTED DECEMBER 28, 1959, ENTITLED "ST.
LOUIS PARK ZONING ORDINANCE" BY AMENDING
SECTIONS 6:032, 6:051, 6:090, 6:092 AND
6:092.1 AND BY DELETING SECTIONS 6:091.2,
6:091.3 AND SECTION 6:091.5; RELATING TO
USES REQUIRING A SPECIAL PERMIT IN THE
R-4 DISTRICT
THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORRIN:
Section 1. Sections 6:091.2, 6:091.3, and 6:091.5 are hereby repealed.
Section 2. Section 6:032 is hereby amended by adding:
Section 6:032.57 Multiple Family Dwelling:
a residential building containing more than two dwelling units.
Section 3. Section 6:051 is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 6:051 - Districts - For the purpose of this Ordinance, the
City of St. Louis Park is hereby divided into the following Use Districts
and groups of Use Districts:
"R" Districts
R-1 Single Family Residence District
R-2 Single Family Residence District
R-3 Two Family Residence District
R-4 Multiple Family Residence District
"B" Districts
R -B Residence - Business District
B-1 Neighborhood Business District
B-2 General Business
B-3 Business District
"I" Districts
I-1 Industrial District
1-2 Industrial District
1-3 Industrial District
Reference in this Ordinance to "R", "B" and "I" Districts shall
refer to the Use District Groups as above set forth, and reference to
specific Use Districts shall be by reference to the individual districts
listed above as "R-1", "R-2", and so forth.

Flood Plain District In addition, there is hereby created the
F-1, Flood Plain District which has specific zoning regulations
superimposed upon the existing zoning districts and which supersede
the underlying use district regulations only to the extent expressed
in the provisions of the Flood Plain District. In all other aspects,
the regulations in the underlying zoning use districts are applicable.
Section 4. Section 6:090 is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 6:090 - "R-4" Multiple Family Residence District
Section 5 - Section 6:092 is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 6:092 - Uses by Special Permit - Within an "R-4"
Multiple Family Residence District, no structure or land shall
be used for any of the following uses except by special permit:
Section 6. Section 6:092.1 is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 6:092.1 - Any use permitted in Sections 6:062.2, 6:062.3
and 6:062.6 and as regulated therein shall be a use by Special Permit.
Section 7. Section 6:092 is hereby amended by adding the following:
Section 6:092.10 Multiple Family Dwelling of any number of units
in accordance with the requirements of Section 6:094.
Section 6:092.11 Boarding house, provided the site shall contain
not less than eight hundred (300) square feet of lot area for each
person to be accommodated.
Section 6:092.12 Fraternity and sorority houses.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its
publication.

J R RITCHAY, being duly sworn, on oath says he is and during all times here stated has
been the vice president and printer of the newspaper known as The St Louis Park Sun and
has full knowledge of the facts herein stated as follows' (1) Said newspaper is printed in the
English language in newspaper format and in column and sheet form equivalent in printed
space to at least 900 square inches (2) Said newspaper is a weekly and is distributed at least
once each week (3) Said newspaper has 50% of its news columns devoted to news of local
interest to the community which it purports to serve and does not wholly duplicate any other
publication and is not made up entirely of patents, plate matter and advertisements (4) Said
newspaper is circulated in and near the municipality which it purports to serve, has at least
500 copies regularly delivered to paying subscribers, has an average of at least 75% of its total
lation currently paid or no more than three months in arrears and has entry as second-class
er in its local post -office (5) Said newspaper purports to serve the City of St Louis Park
in the County of Hennepin and it has its known office of issue in the City of Bloomington in
said county, established and open durmg its regular business hours for the gathering of news.

conditions for at least two years preceding the day or dates of publication mentioned below
(8) Said newspaper has filed with the Secretary of State of Minnesota prior to January 1, 1966
and each January 1 thereafter an affidavit in the form prescribed by the Secretary of State
and signed by the publisher of said newspaper and sworn to before a notary public stating that
the newspaper is a legal newspaper. •
He further states on oath that the printed Ordinance No. 1183
hereto attached as a part hereof was cut from the columns of said newspaper, and was printed
and pubhshed therein in the English language, once each week, for one Ruccessive weeks,

and was thereafter printed and published on every to and including
