HomeMy WebLinkAbout1141 - ADMIN Ordinance - City Council - 1971/04/26• Original APRIL 19, 1971 5C ORDINANCE NO. 1141 AN ORDINANCE VACATING ALLEY THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. It is hereby determined that a petition in writing signed by a majority of all of the owners of all property abutting upon both sides of the alley proposed to be vacated has been duly filed with the City Clerk, requesting vacation of said alley, and the City Clerk has furnished a copy of said petition to the City Manager who has reported filing of same to the City Council, and the Clerk has published notice in the official city newspaper, the St. Louis Park Sun on March 25, 1971, as directed by the Council and the City Council has met at the time and place as published in said notice and has conducted a public hearing on said petition and hereby determines that said Alley is not needed for public purposes, and that it is for the best interests of the public that said alley be vacated as petitioned. Section 2. The following described length of alley, as now dedicated and laid out within the corporate limits of the City of St. Louis Park, be hereby vacated: Alley between Salem Avenue and Raleigh Avenue from West 28th Street to West 29th Street (abutting Lots 8/29, Block 1, Latham's Minnetonka Boulevard Addition) Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to prepare a Notice of Completion containing a copy of this ordinance and to file the same for record forthwith in the Office of the Register of Deeds or Registrar of Titles, in and for the County of Hennepin, Minnesota, as the case may be. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its publication. Adopted by the City (ouncil April 34, 1971.
