HomeMy WebLinkAbout1112 - ADMIN Ordinance - City Council - 1970/06/01• • • ORDINANCE NO. 1112 AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING OPEN FLAME FIRES IN MULTIPLE DWELLINGS ADDING SECTION 7:20. THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PA RK DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. Open flame fires in multiple dwellings shall be regulated as follows: Section 7:20. Open Flame Fires. No person shall set, kindle, maintain or permit any fire or open flame on any balcony of a multiple dwelling or apartment building in any barbecue, torch or similar heating, burning or lighting equipment or device unless such building be of Type I or Type II as defined in the Uniform Building Code adopted by Section 5:109 of the St. Louis Park Ordinance Code. Section 2. Penalty. Any person violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine of not more than $300 or by imprisonment not to exceed 90 days or both. Section 3. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect 15 days after its publication. Adopted by the City Council June 1, 1970. (6) Said news- paper files a copy of each issue immediately with the State Historical Society.
