AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ST. LOUIS PARK ORDINANCE
CODE RELATING TO PERMITS AND LICENSES: 2:1603
MILK AND CREAM; 2:1804 FOOD LICENSE AND FEE EXEMPTIONS;
2:1806 FOOD LICENSE FEES; 2:202 COURTESY BENCHES;
2:307 TAXICABS; 2:315 TAXICAB DRIVERS; 2:308 BILL-
BOARDS AND SIGNS; 2:1028 GASOLINE SERVICE STATIONS;
2:2404 MOVIE THEATRES; 2:604 USED MOTOR VEHICLE DEALERS
THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That the following sections of the St. Louis Park
Ordinance Code are hereby amended to read as follows:
MILK AND CREAM
Section 2:1603 of the Code shall be amended to read as follows:
Section 2:1603. License Fee. The annual license fee for
such license shall be five dollars ($5.00) for each place
licensed and twenty dollars ($20.00) for each vehicle from
which sale is made.
FOOD LICENSE AND FEE EXEMPTIONS
Section 2:1804.01. Fee Exemptions, License Required. Food
services in governmental subdivisions, charitable institutions,
Houses of Worship, schools. and employee coffee shops, shall
be required to apply for and obtain a license, but shall not
be charged a fee therefore, but shall be subject to all other
requirements of this Ordinance.
Section 2:1804.03. No License Required. Persons owning or
operating vehicles hauling cnly milk licensed under the St.
Louis Park Ordinance Code, and other food vehicles for which
a license is not required by this Ordinance, shall not be
required to apply for and obtain a license, but shall be
subject to all other requirements of this Ordinance.
FOOD LICENSE FEES
Section 2:1806.01. License Fees. Fees for licenses issued
hereunder shall be as set forth herein.
Section 2:1806.03. Food Establishment License Fees. The
annual license fee for each food establishment, except
catering food vehicles, bakery food vehicles, packaged food
establishments, readily -perishable food vehicles, retail

candy outlets, and retail candy shops, shall be $100.00,
provided, however, that if more than one facility, such
as, but not limited to, kitchen, bar, bakery, meat market,
grocery store, delicatessen, which would require food
establishment licenses if operated separately, shall be
located on the same premises, the license fee shall be
an additional $20.00 for each such facility in addition
to the $100.00 for the first such facility.
Section 2:1806.04. Packaged Food Establishments. The
annual license fee for each packaged food establishment
shall be $50.00.
Section 2:1806.05. Itinerant Food Establishments. The license
fee for each itinerant food establishment shall be $50.00.
Section 2:1806.07. Retail Candy Shop License. The annual
license fee for retail candy shop shall be $50.00, provided,
further, that if the candy shop is operated in conjunction
with another facility, as provided in Section 2:1806.3,
the retail candy shop shall be an extra facility and a
charge of $20.00 be added to the basic cost of the food
establishment license.
Section 2:1806.09. Retail Candy Outlet License. The annual
fee for a retail candy outlet shall be $15.00, provided,
further that if the retail candy outlet is operated in
conjunction with another facility requiring licensing
under this Ordinance, the retail candy outlet shall not
be required to obtain a license.
Section 2:1806.11. Readily -Perishable Food Vehicles. The
annual license fee for each readily -perishable food vehicle
shall be $20.00 per vehicle for such vehicles not licensed
under Section 2:1806.13, fleet vehicles.
Section 2:1806.13. Readily Perishable Food Vehicles - Fleet
License. The annual license fee for a fleet of one or more
readily -perishable food vehicles shall be $50.00.
Section 2:1806.15. Bakery Food Vehicle License Fee. The
annual license fee for each bakery food vehicle shall be
$20.00 per bakery food vehicle.
Section 2:1806.17. Catering Food Vehicle License Fee. The
annual license fee for catering food vehicles shall be
$100.00 for each vehicle owned or operated by the licensee
in the City of St. Louis Park.
COURTESY BENCHES
Section 2:202, Subd. (c)(d) and (e) of the Code shall be amended
to read as follows:

Section 2:202. Procedure for. Issuance of Permits.
(c) Each application shall be accompanied by an inspection
fee of five dollars ($5.00) payable to the City Treasurer for
each such bench.
(d) If the application is granted, an additional permit fee of
twelve dollars ($12.00) shall be paid to the City Treasurer
for each such bench at the time the permit is issued.
(e) All permits shall expire as of Decemner 31st next following
the date of issuance thereof unless renewed. Upon renewal,
a twelve dollar ($12.00) renewal fee shall be payable when
the application for renewal is filed.
REGULATION AND LICENSING TAXICABS AND TAXICAB DRIVERS
Section 2:2307 of the Code shall be amended to read as follows:
Section 2:2307. License Fees for Certificate Holders. No
certificate shall be issued or continued in operation unless
the holder thereof has paid an annual license fee for the
right to engage in the taxicab business of fifty dollars
($50.00) each year plus twenty-five dollars ($25.00) each
year for each vehicle operated under a certificate of public
convenience and necessity. Said license fees shall be for
the calendar year and shall be in addition to any other
license fees or charges established by proper authority and
applicable to said holder of the vehicle or vehicles under
his operation and control.
Section 2:2315 of the Code shall be amended to read as follows:
Section 2:2315. Issuance of License -Duration -Annual Fee.
Upon receipt of a $10.00 license fee and approval of an
application for a taxicab driver's license the City Manager
shall issue a license to the applicant which shall bear the
name, address, age, signature, and photograph of the applicant.
Such license shall be In effect for the remainder of the
calendar year. A license for every calendar year thereafter
shall be issued upon the payment of $10.00, unless the license
for the preceding year has been revoked.
BILLBOARDS AND SIGNS
Section 2:308. (c) of the Code shall be amended to read as
follows:
Section 2:308. (c) Ground and Roof signs. There shall be a
minimum fee of five dollars ($5.00) for the first four (4)
square feet and twenty-five cents (25) for each additional
square foot of area: The maximum not to exceed fifty dollars
($50.00) for each sign.

The square foot area of all such signs shall be determined
by multiplying their greatest width by their greatest length.
GASOLINE SERVICE STATIONS
Section 2:1028 of the Code shall be amended to read as follows:
Section 2:1028. License Fee. The annual license fee for each
gasoline service station at one location shall be $75.00, plus
$5.00 for each gasoline pump or service outlet, in addition to
one such pump or outlet.
MOVIE THEATRES
Section 2:2404 of the Code shall be amended to read as follows:
Section 2:2404. License Fee. The annual license fee for such
license shall be $200.00.
USED MOTOR VEHICLE DEALERS
Section 2:2604 of the Code shall be amended to read as follows:
Section 2:2604. License Fee. The annual license fee for such
license shall be $100.00.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect January 1, 1970.
