AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 4:607 AND RE-
PEALING SUBDIVISION 2 OF SECTION 4:803 OF THE
CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK ORDINANCE CODE RE-
LATING TO VISUAL OBSTRUCTIONS AT INTERSECTIONS
THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. Section 4:607 of the City of St. Louis Park Ordinance Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 4:607.01. Visual Obstructions at Intersections of Two
or More Streets. No person owning or occupying any property adjacent to
intersecting streets in the triangular area bounded by a line joining the
points on the centerlines of such intersecting streets, eighty feet (80')
distant along such centerlines from their point of intersection, shall allow
or permit any obstruction to vision. including but not limited to trees, shrubs,
hedges, fences, signs, walls, or billboards, to be or remain in the space
above a height of thirty inches (30") and below a height of five feet (5') above
the center line grades of the center lines of such intersecting streets.
Section 4:607. 05. Visual Obstructions at Intersections of Streets
with Alleys. No person owning or occupying any property adjacent to any
intersection of streets with alleys in the triangular area bounded by a line
joining the points on the right-of-way lines of such intersecting streets and
alleys ten feet (10') from such point of intersection, shall allow or permit
any obstruction to vision, including but not limited to trees, shrubs, hedges,
fences, signs, walls, or billboards to be or remain in the space above a
height of thirty inches (30") and below a height of five feet (5') above the
sidewalk grades of such intersecting streets and alleys.
Section 4:607. 10. Obstruction to Vision. Obstructions to vision
described in 4:607.01 and 4:607.05 are hereby defined as and declared to be
public nuisance and as such are declared to be unlawful.
Section 4:607. 15. Failure to Abate after Notice. The City
Manager or his designated representatives are hereby authorized and directed
to give by mail addressed to the last known address of owners or occupants
of premises regulated under' this ordinance, a notice to abate such nuisance.
Failure to remove such obstructions, within ten (10) days after delivery of
such written noticq shall be a separate violation of this ordinance.
Section 2. Repealer. Subdivision 2 of Section 4:803, entitled "Nuisances
Affecting Peace and Safety" of the St. Louis Park Ordinance Code is hereby
repealed, effective as of the effective date of this ordinance.

Section 3. This ordin^.ice shall take effect fifteen days after its
publication.

has been the vice president and printer of the newspaper known as The St Louis Park Sun
and has full knowledge of the facts herein stated as follows. (1) Said newspaper
is printed in the English language in newspaper format and in column and sheet form
equivalent in printed space to at least 900 square inches (2) Said newspaper is a weekly and
is distributed at least once each week (3) Said newspaper has 50% of its news columns devoted
to news of ,local interest to the community which it purports to serve and does not wholly
duplicate any other publication and is not made up entirely of patents, plate matter and
advertisements. (4) Said newspaper is circulated in and near the municipality which it purports
to serve, has at least 500 copies regularly delivered to paying subscribers, has an average of
at least 75% of its total circulation currently paid or no more than three months in arrears
and has entry as second-class matter in its local post -office (5) Said newspaper purports to
serve the City of St. Louis Park in the County of Hennepin and it has its known office of

form prescribed by the Secretary of State and signed by the publisher of said newspaper and
sworn to before a notary public stating that the newspaper is a legal newspaper
