ORDINANCE NO. 1027
AN ORDINANCE VACATING CERTAIN PORTIONS
OF STREET BETWEEN QUENTIN AVENUE AND
OTTAWA AVENUE NORTH OF WEST 36TH STREET
THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. It is hereby determined that a petition in writing, signed by
a majority of the owners of property abutting upon both sides of the streets
hereinafter described, has been duly filed with the City Clerk, requesting
vacation of said portions of streets, and the City Clerk having furnished a
copy of said petition to the City Manager who has reported filing of same to
the City Council, and the Clerk having published notice in the official City
newspaper, the St. Louis Park Dispatch, on February 22, 1968, as directed
by the Council, and the City Council having met at the time and place as
published in said notice and having conducted a public hearing on said petition
and having determined that said portions of streets are not needed for public
purposes, and that it is for the best interests of the public that said portions of
streets be vacated as petitioned.
Section 2. The following described portions of streets, as now dedicated
and laid out within the corporate limits of the City of St. Louis Park, be
hereby vacated:
All that part of a tract of land forty feet in width lying immediately
north of and adjacent to the northerly lines of Blocks 2 and 3,
Westmoreland Park, as conveyed by Deed dated October 5, 1937,"
filed March 9, 1938, as Document No. 1922467, in Book 1422 of
Deeds page 299, Hennepin County, Minnesota, Register of Deeds,
which lies westerly of the westerly line of Oxford Street as shown
on the plat of Belt Line Industrial Park, 2nd Addition, on file in the
office of the Register of Deeds, Hennepin County, and further that
any easement for street, highway or road purposes over Lot 1,
Block 2, Belt Line Industrial Park, 2nd Addition and Lot 3, Block
2, Belt Line Industrial Park.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to prepare a Notice of
Completion containing a copy of this ordinance and to file the same for record
forthwith in the Office of the Register of Deeds or Registrar of Titles, in
and for the County of Hennepin, Minnesota, as the case may be.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its
publication.

W. JOHN BERTRAM, being duly sworn. on oath says he is and during all times here stated
has been the vice president and printer of the newspaper known as The St Louis Park Sun
and has full knowledge of the facts herein stated as follows• (1) Said newspaper
is printed in the English language in newspaper format and in column and sheet form
equivalent in printed space to at least 900 square inches (2) Said newspaper is a weekly and
is distributed at least once each week (3) Said newspaper has 50% of its news columns devoted
to news of local interest to the community which it purports to serve and does not wholly
duplicate any other publication and is not made up entirely of patents, plate matter and
advertisements. (4) Said newspaper is circulated in and near the municipality which it purports
serve, has at least 500 copies regularly dellvered to paying subscribers, has an average of
least 75% of its total circulation currently paid or no more than three months in arrears

ve the City of St. Louis Park in the County of Hennepin and it has its known office of

paper files a copy of each issue immediately with the State Historical Society. (7) Said news-
paper has complied with all the foregoing conditions for at least two years preceding the day
or dates of publication mentioned below. (8) Said newspaper has filed with the Secretary of
State of Minnesota prior to January 1, 1966 and each January 1 thereafter an affidavit in the
form prescribed by the Secretary of State and signed by the publisher of said newspaper and
sworn to before a notary public stating that the newspaper is a legal newspaper
