HomeMy WebLinkAbout999 - ADMIN Ordinance - City Council - 1967/06/05Original REPLACEMENT JUNE 5, 1967 5B ORDINANCE NO. 999 AN ORDINANCE VACATING PORTIONS OF STREET AND ALLEY THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. It is hereby determined that a petition in writing, signed by Freidheim Investments dba Belt Line Industrial Park as a majority of the owners of property abutting upon the hereinafter described portion of street and as a majority of the owners of the land in the entire block abutting upon both sides of the east -west alley running west from Princeton Avenue hereinafter described, has been duly filed with the City Clerk, requesting vacation of said portions of street and alley, and the City Clerk has furnished a copy of said petition to the City Manager who has reported filing of same to the City Council, and the Clerk has published notice in the official City newspaper, the St. Louis Park Dispatch on May 25, 1967, as directed by the Council, and the City Council has met at the time and place as published in said notice and has conducted a public hearing on said petition and hereby determines that it is for the best interests of the public that said portion of street and alley be vacated as petitioned. Section 2. The following described portion of street and alley, as now laid out and dedicated within the corporated limits of the City of St. Louis Park, is hereby vacated: That part of Westmoreland Avenue (now known as Princeton Avenue) as dedicated in the recorded plat of Westmoreland Park, lying northerly of the easterly extension of the southerly line of Block 3 in said plat, and lying westerly of the southwesterly extension of that particular south- easterly line of Block 2 which bears south 29 degrees, 29 minutes and 30 seconds west, in Belt Line Industrial Park 2nd Addition, according to the recorded plat thereof. The alley in Block 3, Westmoreland Park as dedicated in the recorded plat thereof. Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to prepare a Notice of Completion containing a copy of this ordinance and to file the same for record, forthwith in the office of the Register of Deeds or Registrar of Titles, in and for the County of Hennepin, Minnesota, as the case may be. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its publication. Adopted by the City Council June 1 •, 1967. JOHN BERTRAM, being duly sworn, on oath says he is and during all the tames herein stated has been the general manager and printer of the newspaper known as The St Louis Park Dispatch and has full knowledge of the facts herein stated as follows• (1) Said newspaper is printed in the English language in newspaper format and in column and sheet form equivalent in printed space to at least 900 square inches.
