ORDINANCE NO. 998
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ST. LOUIS PARK ORDINANCE
CODE RELATING TO PERMITS: SECTION 5:204 PLUMBING
PERMITS, SECTION 5:305 GAS PIPING PERMITS, SECTION
5:405 HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING PERMITS, SECTION
5:504 ELECTRICAL PERMITS
THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That the following sections of the St. Louis Park Ordinaxice Code
are hereby amended to read as follows:
PLUMBING PERMITS
Section 5:204 of the Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 5:204. Permit Fees. The fees for such permits "shall be as follows:
(a) For each permit issued under this ordinance there shall be a minimum
fee of $5.00 for said permit.
• (b) The fees for all plumbing permits shall be computed on the basis of the
number of plumbing fixtures and/or devices provided for in such permits,
whether subsequently so installed or not, and the fee for each such
fixture so provided for shall, except as hereinafter specifically provided,
be $2.00.
(c) Where any such permit is issued for the installation of plumbing work
providing for certain proposed fixtures which are to be installed or
set later and for which fixture openings are to be left, a fee of $1.00
shall be charged for each such opening, which fee shall be in addition
to the fee charged for other plumbing work, if any, included in the
same permit.
(d) Where any such permit is issued for the setting only of certain plumbing
fixtures on openings previously left for same, a fee of $1.00 shall be
charged for each such fixture, which fee shall be in addition to the fee
charged for other plumbing work, if any, included in the same permit.
(e) Where any such permit is issued for any of the following specifically
mentioned plumbing fixtures or other devices the fee which shall be
charged for each such fixture or device shall be as follows and shall•
be in addition to the fee charged for other plumbing work, if any,

included in the same permit:
Beer dispenser, when connected with water supply $ 1.50
Blow -off basin 3.50
Catch -basin 3.50
Water heater 2.50
New ground run for existing building 2.50
Hydraulic valve 2.50
Rainwater leader, for 10 stories or fraction thereof and for each
15 stories or fraction thereof in excess of 10 stories 3.50

(f) For each permit for the alteration or repairing of existing plumbing
and for other plumbing work not included above, the fee shall be $5. 00
for the first One Hundred Dollars ($100.00), or fraction thereof in
the estimated cost of such proposed work; for each additional One
Hundred Dollars ($100.00), or fraction thereof in such estimated cost
$2.50 shall be added to the above prescribed fee for such permit.
(g) For any reinspection necessitated by negligence or error of the
permittee there shall be a fee of $5. 00 in addition to the basic permit
fees for each such callback made by the Inspector.
GAS PIPING PERMITS
Section 5:305 of the Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 5:305. Permit fees. The fees for such permits shall be as follows:
(a) For each permit issued under the ordinance there shall be a minimum
fee of $5. 00 for said permit -
(b) For installing gas piping, providing for not to.exceed 10 gas fixtures
or devices $1.50.
(c) For any such permit providing for from 11 to 25 such fixtures or
devices $2.50.
(d) For any such permit providing for more than 25 such fixtures or
devices $3.50.
(e) For any permit for installing gas stoves, ranges, hot plates, steam
tables, dental devices, refrigerators, retorts, bake ovens, room

h eaters, barbecue grills, hair dryers or other similar gas burning
devices, the fee charged shall be $1.50 for each such device, which
fee shall be in addition to the fee charged, as above provided, for
installation of any gas piping for said devices or for any other gas
fitting work, if any, included in said permit.
For any permit for installing gas water heaters the fee shall be
$2.50 for each device included in such permit, which fee shall be
in addition to the fee charged as above provided for the installation
of any gas piping for said devices and for any other gas fitting work,
if any, included in said permit.
For any permit for the installation of a gas burner and/or its equipment,
for use in connection with a heating system, having an input of not
to exceed 400, 000 Btu. , $5. 00;
400, 000 Btu but not to exceed 500, 000 Btu $ 10.00
500,000 Btu but not to exceed 1,000,000 Btu 25.00
1,000,000 Btu but not to exceed 2,500,000 Btu 50.00

Where more than one gas burner or multiple gas burners are to be
installed in a single boiler, furnace or other device shall, for the
purpose of establishing permit fees therefor, be considered as a
single burner.
The above fees shall be in addition to the fee charged for the permit
for the installation of any gas piping for said burners or equipment.
For any permit for alterations or repairs to any existing gas burner
or gas burner equipment where the cost of such proposed work does
not exceed five hundred dollars ($500. 00), $5.00;
And for each additional five hundred dollars ($500.00), or fraction
thereof, in the cost of such proposed work, $2.50 shall be added
to the above prescribed fee for such permit.
(h) Where any such permit is issued for both gas piping and plumbing,
the fee for such permit shall be equal to the combined fees for each
of said classes of work or installation.
(i) For any reinspection necessitated by negligence or error of the
permittee there shall be a fee of $5.00 in addition to the basic permit

fee for each such callback made by the Inspector.
HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING PERMITS
Section 5:405 of the Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 5:405. Permit Fees. The fees for such permits shall be as follows:
(a) For each permit issued under this ordinance there shall be a minimum
fee of $5.00 for said permit.
(b) For any permit for the installation of a power plant, or of a boiler,
or furnace and boiler, in connection with any such plant, for each
such boiler, or furnace and boiler, or power plant to be installed
thereunder having an output or capacity not exceeding 200, 000 Btu
per hour or 6 H. P. , $5. 00.
For each additional 100, 000 Btu per hour or 3 H. P. output or capacity
or fraction thereof, $2.50.
For any Permit for alterations or repairs to any existing power plant,
or boiler or furnace and boiler in connection with a power plant, where
the cost of the proposed work does not exceed Five Hundred Dollars
($500.00), $5.00.
And for each additional Five Hundred Dollars ($500. 00), or fraction
thereof, in the cost of such proposed work, $2.50.
(c) For any permit for the installation of a GRAVITY WARM AIR HEATING
SYSTEM, for each such system installed thereunder, $10. 00.
For any permit for the installation of a gravity warm air furnace
replacing an existing warm air furnace used in connection with a
gravity warm air heating system; for each such furnace to be in-
stalled thereunder, $5. 00.
For any permit for alterations or repairs to any existing gravity
warm air heating system or furnace in connection with any such
system, where the cost of the proposed work does not exceed Five
Hundred Dollars ($500. 00), $5. 00.
And for each additional Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), or fraction
thereof, in the cost of such proposed work, $2. 50 shall be added
to the above prescribed fee for such permit.
(d) For any permit for the installation of a mechanical warm air heating
system, for each such heating system to be installed thereunder
having an output or capacity not exceeding 120, 000 Btu per hour,
$10. 00.

And for each additional 60, 000 Btu per hour output or capacity or
fraction thereof, $1. 00 shall be added to the above prescribed fee
for such permit.
For any permit for the installation of a furnace in connection with
any such heating system, for each such furnace to be installed
thereunder having an output or capacity not exceeding 120, 000 Btu
per hour, $5.00.
And for each additional -60,000 Btu per hour output or capacity or
fraction thereof, $1. 00 shall be added to the above prescribed fee
for such permit.
For any permit for alterations or repairs to any existing mechanical
warm air heating system in connection therewith, where the cost
of such proposed work does not exceed Five Hundred Dollars
($500.00), $5.00.
And for each additional Five Hundred Dollars ($500. 00), or fraction
thereof, in the cost of such proposed work, $2.50 shall be added to
the above prescribed fee for such permit.
(e) For any permit for the installation of a steam or hot water heating
system for use in connection with a FAN HEATING SYSTEM, the
required capacity of which does not exceed 400 square feet EDR
steam or 640 square feet EDR hot water, $10.00.
And for each additional required 200 square feet EDR steam or
320 square feet EDR hot water, or fraction thereof, in the required
capacity of such system or plant, $2.50 shall be added to the above
prescribed fee for such permit.
For any permit for the installation of the heating coils for use in
connection with a fan heating system, supplied with steam or hot
water by an existing steam or hot water system, the required
capacity of which does not exceed 400 square feet EDR steam or
640 square feet EDR hot water, $5. 00.
And for each additional required 200 square feet EDR steam or
320 square feet EDR hot water, or fraction thereof, in the required
capacity of such heating coils, two dollars (42.00).
For any permit for the installation of the sheet metal work and
duct work, and equipment connected therewith (other than the
steam or hot water heating plant or heating coils which furnish
the heat), in any fan heating system, where the required capacity
of such system or systems does not exceed 2, 000 cubic feet of
0 air per minute, $5.00.

And for each additional 1,'000 cubic feet per minute, or fraction
thereof,. in such required capacity, two dollars ($2.00) shall be
added to the above prescribed fee for such permit.
For any permit for alterations or repairs to the sheet metal work
or duct work, or equipment connected therewith, of any fan heating
system, where the cost of the proposed work does not exceed Five
Hundred Dollars ($500.00), $5. 00.
And for each additional Five Hundred Dollars ($500. 00), or
fraction thereof, in the cost of such proposed work, two dollars
($2.00) shall be added to the above prescribed fee for such permit.
For any permit for the installation of the duct work, sheet metal
work and equipment in connection with a ventilating system, the
required capacity of which does not exceed 2,000 cubic feet per
minute, $5.00.
And for each additional 1,000 cubic feet per minute, or fraction
thereof, in such required capacity, two dollars ($2. 00) shall be
added to the above prescribed fee for such permit.
For any permit for alterations or repairs to any such ventilating
system and equipment, where the cost of the proposed work does
not exceed Five Hundred Dollare ($500.00), $5. 00.
And for each additional Five Hundred Dollars ($500. 00), or fraction
thereof, in the cost of such proposed work, Two Dollars ($2.00)
shall be added to the above prescribed fee for such permit.
For any permit for the installation of the duct work, sheet metal
work and equipment (other than heating or cooling coils, piping and
refrigeration equipment) in connection with an air conditioning
system, the required capacity of which does not excee d 2, 000 cubic
feet per minute, $5.00.
And for each additional 1, 000 cubic feet per minute, or fraction
thereof, in such required capacity Two Dollars ($2.00).
For any permit for the HEATING COILS for use in connection
with an air conditioning system, supplied with steam or hot water
by an existing steam or hot water system, the required capacity of
which does not exceed 400 square feet EDR steam or 640 square
feet EDR hot water, $5. 00.

And for each additional required 200 square feet EDR steam or
320 square feet EDR hot water, or fraction thereof, in the required
capacity of such heating coils Two Dollars ($2.00).
For any permit for the installation of COOLING COILS, piping and
equipment designed to accomplish the required cooling in connection
with an air conditioning system, where the required capacity of the
system for which such coils, piping and equipment is installed does
not exceed 5 tons of refrigeration, Ten Dollars ($10.00).
And for each additional 2-1/2 tons in such required capacity, or
fraction thereof, Two Dollars ($2. 00) shall be added to the above
prescribed fee for such permit.
For any permit for alterations or repairs to any such heating coils,
cooling coils, piping, equipment, sheet metal work or duct work
in connection with an air conditioning system, where the cost of
the proposed work does not exceed Five Hundred Dollars ($500. 00),
$5.00.
And for each additional Five Hundred Dollars ($500. 00), or fraction
thereof, in the cost of such proposed work, Two Dollars ($2.00)
shall be added to the above prescribed fee for such permit.
(h) For any permit for the installation of a steam or hot water heating
system, or for the installation for use in connection with a fan
heating •system or air conditioning system of a steam or hot
water heating plant, the required capacity of which -does not exceed
400 square feet EDR steam or 640 square feet EDR hot water, $10.00.
And for each additional required 200 square feet EDR steam or 320
square feet EDR hot water or fraction thereof, in the capacity of such
system or plant, Two Dollars ($2. 00) shall be added to the above
prescribed fee for such permit.
For any permit for the installation of a steam or hot water boiler
in connection with any existing heating system or plant, for each
such boiler to be installed thereunder whose required capacity does
not exceed 2,000 square feet EDR steam or 3,200 square feet EDR
hot water, Five Dollars ($5. 00).
And for each additional 1, 000 square feet EDR steam or 1,600
square feet EDR hot water required capacity of such boiler, Two
Dollars ($2.00) shall be added to the above prescribed fee for such
permit.

For any permit for alterations or repairs to the boiler, piping,
radiation, heating coils or other equipment of any such heating
system or plant where the cost of such proposed work does not
exceed Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), $5.00.
And for each additional Five Hundred Dollars ($500. 00), or
fraction thereof, in the cost of such proposed work, Two Dollars
($2.00) shall be added to the above prescribed fee for such permit.
(i) For any permit for the installation of an oil burner and/or its
equipment, for use in connection with a heating system, connected
to a fuel oil storage tank or tanks not buried underground or other-
wise enclosed, and having an input of not to exceed 3 gal. per hour,
$5. 00.
For inputs from 4 gal. per hour to 9 gal. per hour, inclusive $ 7.50
For inputs from 10 gal. per hour to 18 gal. per hour, inclusive 10.00
For inputs from 19 gal. per hour to 36 gal. per hour, inclusive 15.00
For inputs from 37 gal. per hour to 54 gal. per hour, inclusive 25.00
For inputs from 55 gal. per hour to 75 gal. per hour, inclusive 30.00
For inputs from 76 gal. per hour to 93 gal. per hour, inclusive 35.00
For inputs from 93 gal. per• hour, 40.00
• Where fuel oil storage tanks are buried underground or otherwise
enclosed the sum of $5. 00 shall be added to the above prescribed fees.
(J)
For any permit for the installation of a fuel oil storage tank or tanks
only, for use in connection with an oil burner, not underground or
otherwise enclosed, $2,00.
For any permit for the installation of a fuel oil storage tank or tanks
for use in connection with an oil burner installation, where such
tanks are buried underground or otherwise enclosed, $5.00.
For any permit for alterations or repairs to any existing oil burner
or oil burner equipment where the cost of such proposed work does
not exceed Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), $5.00.
And for each additional five hundred dollars ($500.00), or fraction thereof,
in the cost of such proposed work, $2.00 shall be added to the above
prescribed fee for such permit.
For any permit for the installation of a stoker or stokers, for
each stoker included in such permit, where the grate area of the
furnace or boiler such stoker is required to serve does not exceed

fourteen (14) square feet, $5.00.
And for each additional square foot in the grate area of the furnace
or boiler to be served by such stoker, fifty cents (50) shall be added
to the above prescribed fee for such permit.
NOTE: All of the stoker inside the boiler or furnace walls shall
be construed as grate surface, including dead plates and side
dumps.
For any permit for the installation of a powdered fuel burner or
burners, for each such burner included in such permit, where the
capacity of such burner does not exceed Three Hundred and Fifty
(350) pounds per hour, $5.00.
And for each additional Twenty-five (25) pounds, or fraction
thereof, in the capacity of such burner, fifty cents (50) shall
be added to the above prescribed fee for such permit.
For any permit for alterations or repairs to any stoker or stokers,
or to any powdered fuel burner or burners, or to the equipment
thereof, where the cost of the proposed work does not exceed Five
Hundred Dollars ($500.00), $5. 00.
And for each additional Five Hundred Dollars ($500. 00), or fraction
thereof, in the cost of such proposed work, $2.00 shall be added to the
above prescribed fee for such permit.
(k) For any reinspection necessitated by negligence or error on the part
of the permittee, there shall be a fee of $5.00 in addition to the basic
permit fee for each such callback made by the Inspector.
ELECTRICAL PERMITS
Section 5:504 of the Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 5:504. Permit Fees. The fees for electrical permits shall be as
follows:
(a) Minimum Fee:
For each permit issued under this ordinance there shall be a minimum fee
of $5. 00 for said permit.
(b) NEW SERVICES:
For each permit for the installation of new services in any building or
structure in the City of St. Louis Park the f ee shall be as follows:

For each permit for the installation of feeders and subfeeders up to
600 volts in any building or structure in the City of St. Louis Park,
the fee shall be as follows:

(d) BUSWAY. Where busway is used for a service entrance, feeder, or
sub -feeder no additional fee shall be charged over the fee for service
entrance or feeder or sub -feeder for installation of busway. For
each permit for the installation of busway as a branch circuit conductor
in any building or structure in the City of St. Louis Park the fee shall
be the same as for a Feeder or Sub -feeder.

For each permit for new or additional electric light wiring, for the first
ten (10) outlets, or for any fraction thereof, if less than ten (10), there
shall be a minimum fee of $3.00.
And for each ten (10) such outlets, or fraction thereof, in excess of the
first ten (10), there shall be an additional fee of $2.00.
Lighting outlets shall be construed to mean or include all electrical
openings including but not limited to any outlets installed for receptacles,
lighting fixtures, switch openings, appliance openings, wall receptacles
or floor receptacles where such receptacles are permitted on branch
lighting circuits and all other electrical openings. Every such opening
shall be considered a separate outlet. The outlet fee shall cover the
installation of all wall, floor, or ceiling electrical openings.
Provided, further, that lighting outlets shall also be construed to mean
any outlets installed for future connection for lighting purposes.
For the purposes of this ordinance, each group of lights for window
illumination rigidly attached to one another and made up and installed as
one unit and said unit insulated from all grounded metal work in the manner
.provided by ordinance for fixtures, shall be considered as one (1) outlet
only, when estimating the fee for a wiring permit, and as fixture only
when estimating the fee for a fixture permit.
(g) SIGN CIRCUIT:
For each permit for wiring for and/or connecting an electric sign, for
the first branch circuit required for such sign, $2.00.
And for each additional branch circuit required for such sign, $1.00.

(h) HEATING DEVICES - MOTORS - TRANSFORMERS , ECT.:
For each permit for wiring for, installing and connecting electric
motors, or other apparatus rated in horsepower (H. P.) there shall
be a minimum fee for the first one (1) H. P. , or fraction thereof, of $2.00.
And for each additional horsepower (H. P.) or fraction thereof, in excess
of one (1) H. P. , but not exceeding two hundred (200) H. P. , 50 cents.
For each permit for wiring for, installing and connecting transformers
for lighting or heat or power, generators, heating devices, rectifiers
or other apparatus rated in watts, KVA or KVAR there shall be a
minimum fee of $2.00 for the first one (1) Kilo -volt-ampere (K. V. A. )
capacity or fraction thereof, except for replacement of an electric range
for domestic use, the fee shall be $2.00.
For each Kilo -volt-ampere capacity or fraction thereof, in excess of
one (1), but not exceeding two hundred (200) K. V.A. , there shall be
an additional fee of 50 cents.
And for each ten (10) Kilo -volt-amperes capacity, or fraction thereof, in
excess of two hundred (200)K. V.A. , there shall be an additional fee of
50 cents.
In determining the amount of fees in this subdivision (7) the units in each
class of the apparatus enumerated in this subdivision shall be figured
collectively but each class shall be figured independently of the other
class, and motor -generators shall be rated according to the rate horse-
power of the motor only.
(i) SOCKETS:
For each permit for the installation of lamp sockets or lamp receptacles
for use on lighting fixtures and drop cords or attached directly to the
outlet, the minimum fee shall be $2. 00 for the first ten (10) sockets or
receptacles, or for any fraction thereof, if less than ten (10).
And for each ten (10) such sockets or receptacles, or fraction thereof, in
excess of the first ten (10), there shall be an additional fee of $1.00.
(j) SOCKETS - BORDER, STRIP, OUTLINE, ETC.:
F or each permit for the wiring of each complete outline lighting (Other
than luminous tube lighting), marquee, stage border, stage footlight
group, stage proscenium strip, stringer lighting over private property,
or temporary lighting when permitted, the fee shall be $2. 00 for the first
ten (10) sockets, or receptacles, or for any fraction thereof, if less
than ten (10), including the installation of such sockets, or receptacles.

0 And for the next twenty (20) sockets, or fraction thereof, $1.00.
And for tho next thirty (30) sockets, or fraction thereof, $1.00.
And for any fifty (50) sockets, or fraction thereof, in excess of the first
sixty (60) such sockets, or receptacles, $1.00.
Outline lighting shall be construed to mean that class of lighting used on
the outside of buildings to mark the out lines thereof by the use of
incandescent lamps.
(k) LUMINOUS TUBES:
For each permit for wiring for and/or installing outline, decorative,
display or other lighting employing luminous tubes energized by transformers,
for the first five hundred (500) volt-amperes, or fraction thereof, $2. 50.
And for each additional one hundred (100) volt-amperes, over the first
500, 50 cents.
This volt-ampere rating shall be based on primary current and voltage.
(1) SIGN AND BILLBOARD WIRING:
For each permit for the wiring of each electric sign for outdoor use or
of each billboard, employing incandescent lamps for illumination, or
luminous tubes energized by transformers, for the first five hundred
(500) volt-amperes, or fraction thereof in the capacity of such sign or
billboard, $2.50.
And for each additional one hundred (100) volt-amperes, or fraction thereof,
50 cents.
The words, "wiring of", as used in this subdivision, shall be construed
to include all electrical fittings and devices in or attached to the exterior
of any such sign or billboard, but not including any supply wires thereto.
(m) MISCELLANEOUS
The fee for each permit for the alteration, rearrangement or repairing
of existing electrical equipment, or for other electrical work not included
in this fee schedule shall be $5. 00 for the first one hundred dollars
($100.00), or fraction in the estimated cost thereof.
And for each additional one hundred dollars ($100.00) or fraction thereof,

in the cost of such proposed work $2.00 shall be added to above prescribed
fee for such permit.
(n) COMBINED PERMIT:
Where a combined permit is issued for both wiring and fixtures, the
fee to be charged for such permit shall equal the combined fees, as above
set forth, for each such class of such work of installation.
(o) MOVING PICTURE MACHINES:
For each permit for wiring for, installing and connecting moving picture
machines, for each complete machine, $5.00 not including the rectifying
apparatus.
(p) STORAGE BATTERIES:
For each permit for wiring for, installing and connecting a storage battery,
for each ten (10) kilowatt hours rated capacity, or fraction thereof, $2.50.
(q) ARC LAMPS, ETC.:
For each permit for installing and connecting mercury vapor lamps or
arc lamps, other than those used in moving picture machines, the fee shall
be in addition to the fee required by this ordinance for the permit for
wiring for the outlets for the same and shall be, for each ten (10) such
lamps, or any fraction thereof, $L 50.
(r) DECORATIVE:
For each permit for installing and connecting outdoor seasonal decorative
stringer lighting over public property, whether connected to street
lighting or serviced from adjacent buildings, the fee for each such stringer,
including the electrical service thereto, shall be $2. 50.
(s) FIRE ALARM SYSTEMS:
For the installation of fire alarm systems connected to the Municipal
Fire Alarm System, for 1 to 5 stations, inclusive, Five Dollars ($5. 00).
Provided, however, that the total fee shall in no instance exceed the
sum of Fifty Dollars ($50.00).
(t) REINSPECTION FEE:
For any reinspection necessitated by negligence or error of the permittee

be construed as grate surface, in-

dumps.
For any permit for the installa-
tion of a powdered fuel burner or
burners, for each such burner in-
cluded in such permit, where the
capacity of such burner does not
exceed Three Hundred and - Fifty
(350) pounds per hour, $5.00.
And for each additional Twenty-
five (25) pounds, or fraction there-
of, in the capacity of such burner,
fifty cents (50) shall be added to
the above prescribed fee for such
permit.
For any permit for alterations
or repairs to any stoker or' stokers,
or to any powered fuel , burner
or burners, or to the equipment
thereof, where the cost of the pro-
posed work does not exceed Five
Hundred Dollars ($500.00), $5.00.
And for each additional Five
Hundred Dollars ($500.00), or frac-
tion thereof, in the cost of such
proposed work, $2.00 shall be add-
ed to the above prescribed fee for

(k) For any reinspection neces-
sitated by negligence or error on

For the purposes of this ordi-
nance, each group of lights for
window illumination rigidly attach-
ed to one another and made up
and installed as one unit and said
unit insulated from all grounded
metal work in the manner provid-
ed by ordinance for fixtures, shall
be considered as one (1) outlet
only, when estimating the fee for
a wiring permit, and as fixture
only when estimating the fee for
a fixture permit.
(g) SIGN CIRCUIT: For each
permit for wiring for and/or con-
necting an electric sign, for the
first branch circuit required for
such sign, $2.00.
And for each additional branch
circuit required for such sign,
$1.00.
(h) HEATING DEVICES - MO-
TORS - TRANSFORMERS, ETC.:
For each permit for wiring for,
installing and connecting electric
motors, or other apparatus rated
in horsepower (H.P.) there shall
be a :minimum fee for the first
one (1) H.P., or fraction thereof,
of $2.00.
And for each additional horse-
power (H.P.) or fraction : thereof,
in excess of one (1) H.P., 1 but not
exceeding two hundred (200)

For each permit for wiring for,
installing and connecting trans-
formers for lighting or heat or
power, generators, heating_ devices
rectifiers or other apparatus rated'
in watts, KVA or KVAR there
shall be a minimum fee of $2.00
for the first one (1) Kilo -volt-am-
pere (K.V.A.) capacity or fraction
thereof, except for replacement of
an electric range for domestic use,
the fee shall. be. $2.00.
For each Kilo -volt-ampere capa-
city or fraction theregf, in excess
of one (1), but not exceeding two
hundred (200) K.V.A., there shall
be an additional fee of 50 cents:
-And for each ten (10) Kilo -volt-
amperes capacity, or fraction
thereof, in excess of two hundred

(o) MOVING PICTURE MA-
CHINES: For each permit for wir-
ing for, installing and connecting
moving picture machines, for each
complete machine, $5.00 not - in-
cluding the rectifying apparatus.
(p) STORAGE BATTERIES: For
each permit for wiring for, install-
ing and connectinga storage bat-
tery, for each ten (10) kilowatt
hours rated capacity, or fraction
thereof, $2.50.
(q) ARC LAMPS, ETC.: For
each. permit for installing and con-
necting mercury vapor lamps or
arc - lamps, other than those used
in moving picture machines, 'the;
fee shall be in addition to the
fee required by this ordinance for
the permit for wiring for the out-
lets for the same and shall be, for
each ten (10) such lamps, or any
fraction thereof, $1.50.
(r) DECORATIVE:. For each
permit for installing and connect-
ing outdoor seasonal decorative
stringer lighting over public prop-
erty, whether connected to street
lighting or serviced from adjacent
buildings. the fee for each such
stringer, including the electrical
service thereto, shall be $2.50.
(s) FIRE ALARM `SYSTEMS:
For the installation of fire alarm
systems connected to the Municipal
Fire Alarm System, for 1 to 5stations, inclusive,
($5.00). Provided, however,

(t)' REINSPECTION FEE: For
any reinspection necessitated by
negligence or error of the permit-
tee there shall be a fee of $5.00
in addition to the basic permit fee
for each such callback inspection

Section 2. Effective Date. This
ordinance shall take effect Jan-
uary 1, 1968.

(k) LUMINOUS TUBES: " For
each permit for wiring for and/or
installing outline, decorative, dis-
play or other lighting employing
luminous tubes energized by trans-
formers, for the first five hundred
(500) volt-amperes, or fraction
thereof, $2.50.
And for each additional one
hundred (100) volt-amperes, over
the first 500, 50 cents.
This volt-ampere rating shall be
used on primary current and volt-
age.
(1) SIGN AND BILLBOARD
WIRING: -For each permit for the
wiring of each electric sign for
outdoor use or of each billboard,
employing incandescent lamps for
illumination, or luminous tubes
energized by transformers, for the
first five hundred (500) volt-am-
peres, or fraction thereof in the
capacity of such sign or billboard,
$2.50.
And for each additional one
hundred (100) volt-amperes, or
fraction thereof, 50 cents.
The words, "wiring off", as used
in this subdivision, shall be con-
strued to include all electrical fit -
