AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTIO N OF MONTEREY AVENUE
THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN
Section 1. It is hereby determined that the City Council by its Resolution
No. 3267 has initiated on its own motion, street vacation proceedings with
respect to the portion of street hereinafter described, and the Clerk having
published notice in the official City newspaper, the St. Louis Park Dispatch,
on April 20, 1967, as directed by the Council, and the City Cpuncil having met
at the time and place as published in said notice and having conducted a public
hearing on said vacation and having determined that said portion of street is not
needed for public purposes, and that it is for the best interests of the public
that said portion of street be vacated.
Section 2. The following described portion of street, as now dedicated and
laid out within the corporate limits of the City of St. Louis Park, is hereby
vacated:
That part of Monterey Avenue in Barrett's Addition to Minneapolis,
Hennepin County, Minnesota, described as follows: Beginning
at the Northwest corner of Lot 20, Block 2 said Addition; thence
N. 71° - 20' W. along the extension of the northerly line of said
Lot 20 to its intersection with a line 10 feet west of, measured
at right angles to and parallel with the west line of said Block 2;
thence south along said parallel line to a point on curve, having
a radius of 60.0 feet, concave to the southwest, from which the
radius point bears S. 30° - 00' W. ; thence southeasterly along
said curve 12.38 feet to the west line of said Block 2; thence
north along said west line to the point of beginning, according to
the plat thereof on file and of record in the office of the Register
of Deeds in and for said County and State.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to prepare a Notice of
Completion containing a copy of this ordinance and to file the same for record
forthwith in the office of the Register of Deeds or Registrar of Titles, in and
for the County of Hennepin, Minnesota, as the case may be.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its publication.

W. JOHN BERTRAM, being duly sworn, on oath says he is and during all the times herein stated
has been the general manager and printer of the newspaper known as The St Louis Park
Dispatch and has full knowledge of the facts herein stated as follows• (1) Said newspaper is
printed in the English language in newspaper format and in column and sheet form
equivalent fn printed space to at least 900 square inches (2) Said newspaper is a weekly and
is distributed at least once each week. (3) Said newspaper has 50% of its news columns devoted
to news of local interest to the community which It purports to serve and does not wholly
duplicate any other publication and is not made up entirely of patents, plate matter and
advertisements (4) Said newspaper is circulated in and near the municipality -which it purports
to serve, has at least 500 copies regularly delivered to paying subscribers, has an average of
at least 75% of its total circulation currently paid or no more than three months in arrears
and has entry as second-class matter in its local post -office (5) Said newspaper purports to
serve the City of St Lotus Park in the County of Hennepin and it has its known office of
issue in the City of Hopkins in said county, established and open during regular business
hours for the gathering of news, sale of advertisements and sale of subscriptions and main-
tained by the managing officer or persons in its employ and subject to his direction and con-
trol during all such regular business hours and devoted exclusively during such regular
business hours to the business of the newspaper and business related thereto (6) Said news-
paper files a copy of each issue immediately with the State Historical Society (7) Said news-
paper has complied with all the foregoing conditions for at least two years preceding the day
or dates of publication mentioned below (8) Said newspaper has filed with the Secretary of
State of Minnesota prior to January 1, 1966 and each January 1 thereafter an affidavit in the
form prescribed by the Secretary of State and signed by the publisher of said newspaper and
sworn to before a notary public stating that the newspaper is a legal newspaper.
