LOUIS PARK ORDINANCE CODE REGULATING ELECTRICAL WORK SECTION 2:610 LICENSE REQUIRED, SECTION 2:611 QUALIFICATIONS FOR LICENSE, SECTION 2:612 APPLICATION, SECTION 2:613 LICENSE FEE, AND SECTION 2:614 COMPLIANCE WITH REGULATIONS THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. That Sections 2:610 through 2:614 of the St. Louis Park Ordinance Code are hereby amended to read as follows: Section 2:610. Registration Required. No person during any calendar year shall engage in the business of erecting, constructing, or changing any electrical installation, work, or wiring in the City of St. Louis Park without having registered with the City Manager in the manner hereinafter set forth. Section 2:611. Application. Every application for such registration shall state the actual place of business of the applicant, the place of residence of the applicant, and such other information as the City Manager shall require and shall be accompanied by: a certificate from the State Board of Electricity of the State of Minnesota certifying that the applicant has been granted a State "A" Master license currently in force; a bond as set forth in Section 2:612; and an insurance policy as set forth in Section 2:613. Section 2:612. Bond. No registration shall be effective under this ordinance until the registrant shall have executed and deposited with the City Clerk a bond in the penal sum of $5,000.00 on form approved by the City Attorney, with corporate surety, which bond shall be conditioned that the applicant shall in all respects well and faithfully perform all things by him undertaken in the erecting, constructing. or changing of any electrical installation, work or wiring, and shall save the City harmless from all actions for' damages consequent thereto by him or any person in his employ, and that he will pay allpermit fees and penalties imposed upon him, and will strictly comply with and do all things required by the ordinances of the City. Section 2:613. Liability Insurance. No registration shall be effective under this ordinance until the registrant shall have filed with the City Clerk a policy or certificate of insurance insuring the City against liability for personal injury, including accidental death, and for the damage to property on account of the work done by the registrant in a sum of at least $50, 000, including accidental death to any one person and in an amount of not less than $100,000 on account of one accident and property damage insurance in amount not less than $25, 000, in a form approved by the City Attorney. Section 2:614. Compliance with Regulati ons. No person shall erect, construct, or change any electrical installation, work or wiring within the City of St. Louis Park unless registered under this ordinance and unless in conformity with the requirements of Sections 5:501 and 5:504 of this Code, and all ordinances of the City applicable thereto. Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its publication. Adopted by the City Council February 20, 1967. JOHN BERTRAM, being duly sworn, on oath says he is and during all the times herein stated has been the general ananager and printer of the newspaper known as The St Louis Park Dispatch and has full knowledge of the facts herein stated as follows (1) Said newspaper is printed in the English language in newspaper format and in column and sheet form equivalent in printed space to at least 900 square inches (2) Said newspaper is a weekly and is distributed at least once each week.
