AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING CONVEYANCE OF TITLE TO
CERTAIN LANDS IN EXCHANGE FOR ACQUISITION OF TITLE
TO OTHER LANDS, RICHATTI INVESTMENT CORPORATION
THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That the City of St. Louis Park has acquired the herein-
after described portion of Lot 6, Block 160 Rearrangement of St. Louis Park
for municipal purposes and that the Richatti Investment Corporation is the
owner of the hereinafter described portion of Lots 2, 3, 4, & 5, Block 60,
Rearrangement of St. Louis Park.
Section 2. It is hereby determined that there is a public necessity and
public need for the exchange of said tracts of land to consolidate the holdings
of the City and to permit the development of other lands now owned by the
Richatti Investment Corporation; that the best interests of the City will be
served by the exchange of deeds whereby the City conveys to the Richatti In-
vestment Corporation the hereinafter described lands in exchange for lands
owned by said corporation.
Section 3. The officers of the said corporation have expressed their
willingness to exchange deeds as hereinbefore mentioned and since the tract to
be conveyed by the City is approximately . 06 acre larger said corporation will
pay to the City a sum of money at the rate of $10, 000. 00 per acre on approx-
imately . 06 acres or the sum of $600. 00; that the values of the two tracts of
land so exchanged are equal.
Section 4. That the sum of money for the purchase of said lands was
paid from the public improvement revolving fund and the sum of cash so re-
covered shall be returned to said fund.
Section 5. The Mayor and the Manager are hereby authorized on behalf
of the City to execute and deliver a Quit Claim deed on behalf of the City con-
veying to the Richatti Investment Corporation the following described tract of
land:
That part of Lot 6, Block 160, Rearrangement of St. Louis
Park including the northeasterly 1/2 of vacated Rex Avenue
lying northwesterly of a line drawn southwesterly and at right
angles to the southwesterly line of Lot 5 in said Block 160
from a point therein 395. 0 feet southeasterly from the most
westerly corner of said Lot 5, and extending to the center line
of vacated Rex Avenue, subject to Railroad right of way.
upon delivery to the City of $600. 00 and a proper deed in form approved by
the City Attorney conveying to the City that certain property described as
follows:
All that part of Lots 2, 3, 4, 5, Block 160, Rearrangement of
St. Louis Park lying southeasterly of a line drawn northeasterly
and at right angles to the Southwesterly line of said Lot 5 from
a point therein 395.0 feet southeasterly from the most westerly
corner of said Lot 5, and extending to the easterly line of said
Block 160.
together with an abstract showing title in said grantors.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its
publication.

W. JOHN BERTRAM, being duly sworn, on oath says he is and during all the times herein stated
bas been the general manager and printer of the newspaper known as The St Louis Park
Dispatch and has full knowledge of the facts herein stated as follows• (1) Said newspaper is
printed in the English language in newspaper format and in column and sheet form
equivalent in printed space to at least 900 square inches. (2) Said newspaper is a weekly and
is distributed at ]east once each week (3) Said newspaper has 50% of its news columns devoted
to news of local interest to the community which it purports to serve and does not wholly
duplicate any other publication and is not made up entirely of patents, plate matter and
advertisements. (4) Said newspaper is circulated in and near the municipality which it purports
to serve, has at least 500 copies regularly delivered to paying subscribers, has an average of
at least 75% of its total circulation currently paid or no more than three months in arrears
and has entry as second-class matter in its local post -office (5) Said newspaper purports to
serve the City of St Louis Park in the County of Hennepin and it has its known office of
issue in the City of Hopkins in said county, established and open during regular business
hours for the gathering of news, sale of advertisements and sale of subscriptions and main -
tamed by the managing officer or persons in its employ and subject to his direction and con-
trol during all such regular business hours and devoted exclusively during such regular
business hours to the business of the newspaper and business related thereto (6) Said news-
paper files a copy of each issue immediately with the State Historical Society (7) Said news -
i paper has complied with all the foregoing conditions for at least two years preceding the day
or dates of publication mentioned below (8) Said newspaper has filed with the Secretary of
State of Minnesota prior to January 1, 1966 and each January 1 thereafter an affidavit in the
form prescribed by the Secretary of State and signed by the publisher of said newspaper and
sworn to before a notary public stating that the newspaper is a legal newspaper.
