AN CRDINANCE AMENDINU THE ST. LOUIS PARK ORDINANCE
CODE, SECTION 1:801 (a) AND (c) ENTITLED "WATER RATES"
AND SECTION 1:803 ENTITLED "DELINQUENT WATER ACCOUNTS"
RELATING TO WATI.R CHARGES AND COLLECTION THEREOF.
THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That Section 1:801(a) and (c) of the St. Louis Park Ordinance
Code entitled "Water Rates" is hereby amended to read as_follows:
Section 1:801. Water Rates
(a) The rate due and payable to the City by each water user
within the City for water taken from the city water supply
system shall be:
First 100,000 cubic feet
Next 300, 000 cubic feet
Over 400, 000 cubic feet
- $. 20 per 100 cu. ft.
- $. 19 per 100 cu. ft.
- $. 18 per 100 cu. ft.
All charges for Single and Multiple Family dwelling users
shall be determined and payable on a quarterly basis, and
t all charges for commercial, industrial and institutional
users shall be determined and payable on a monthly basis,
provided; however, that there shall be a minimum charge to
each water user for each quarter year period during which
water service is furnished as follows:

In case the meter is found to have stopped, or to be operating
in a faulty manner, the amount of water used will be estimated
in accordance with the amount used previously for the comparable
period.

Where Single and Multiple Family dwelling service is for
less than a quarterly period, the quarterly minimum charge
will be prorated. .
(c) Water bills shall be mailed to the customers for the service
periods set forth in sub -paragraph (a) above and shall specify
the water consumed and the charge in accordance with the
foregoing rates, and m addition a penalty of 15 per cent which
shall be added to the amount due if not paid within 15 days after
the due date of the bill. Payments received by mail postmarked
on or before the fifteenth day shall be deemed as paid within
said period.
Section 2. That Section 1:803 of the St. Louis Park Crdinance Code entitled
"Delinquent Water Accounts" is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 1:803. Delinquent Water Accounts. All charges of water
shall be due on the due date specified by the City Clerk for the respec-
tive accounts, and shall be delinquent 15 days thereafter. It shall be
the duty of the City Clerk to endeavor to promptly collect delinquent
accounts, and in all cases where satisfactory arrangements for payrnent
have not then been made, the Superintendent shall be instructed to dis-
continue service by shutting off the water at the stop box. All delin-
quent accounts shall be certified by the City Clerk to the City Assessor
who shall prepare an assessment roll each year providing for assess-
ment of the delinquent amounts against the respective properties
served, which assessment roU shall be delivered to the City Council
for adoption on or before October 1st of each year.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect April 1, 1966.
