LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. It is hereby determined that a petition in writing, signed by a majority of the owners of property abutting upon both sides of the street hereinafter described, has been duly filed with the City Clerk, requesting vacation of said portion of street, and the City Clerk having furnished a copy of said petition to the City Manager who has reported filing of same to the City Council, and the Clerk having published notice in the official City news- paper, the St. Louis Park Dispatch, on September 17, 1964, as directed by the Council, and the City Council having met at the time and place as published in said notice and having conducted a public hearing on said petition and having determined that said portion of street is not needed for public purposes. and that it is for the best interests of the public that said portion of street be vac- ated as petitioned. Section 2. The following described portion of street, as now dedicated and laid out within the corporate limits of the City of St. Louis Park, is hereby vacated: The north thirty-three (33) feet of the west 293 feet of the following described tract: Commencing 884.2 feet east of the southwest corner of the northwest one-quarter of the southeast one-quarter (NW 1/4 of SE 1/4) of Section 31, Township 29, Range 24; thence east 792. 6 feet; thence northwesterly to a point 297.2 feet north of beginning; thence south to beginning. Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to prepare a Notice of Completion containing a copy of this ordinance and to file the same for record forthwith in- the Office of the Register of Deeds or Registrar of Titles, in and for the County of Hennepin, Minnesota, as the case may be. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its pub- lication.
