Home My WebLink About874 - ADMIN Ordinance - City Council - 1963/05/20ORIGINAL MAY 13, 1963 5A ORDINANCE NO. 874 AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION - OF WEST 431 STREET THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. It is hereby determined that a petition in writing, signed by all of the owners of property abutting upon said portions of the street herein- after described has been duly filed with the City Clerk, requesting vacation of said portion of street, and the City Clerk, having furnished a copy of said petition to the City Manager , who has reported filing of same to the City Council and the Clerk having published notice in the official City newspaper, the St. Louis Park Dispatch, on May 2, 1963, as directed by the Council, and the City Council having met at the time and place as published in said notice and having conducted a public hearing on said petition and having y)etermined that said portion of street is not needed for public purposes, and that it is for the best interests of the public that said portion of street be vacated as petitioned. Section 2. The following described portion of street, as now dedicated and laid out within the corporate limits of the City of St. Louis Park, is hereby vacated: North twenty (20) feet of West 431 Street - lying east of the east line of Dart Avenue and west of the westerly line of property described in that certain deed on file and of record in the Office of Register of Deeds, Hennepin County, Minnesota, filed therein on June 30, 1961 as Document No. 3295973 and recorded in Book No. 2304, Deeds, Page 287. Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to prepare a Notice of Completion containing a copy of this ordinance and to file the same for record forthwith in the Office of the Register of Deeds or Registrar of Titles, in and for the County of Hennepin, Minnesota, as the case may be. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication.
