LOUIS PARK DCE= ORDAIN: Section 1. Section 4:805. Nuisances Affecting Right of Privacy. The practice of going in and upon private residence in the City of Ct. Louis Park by peddlers, solicitors, bakery peddlers, hawkers, itinerant merchants and transient vendors for the purpose of soliciting orders for the sale of goods, wares, merchandise, or services of any kind, or for the purpose of peddling the same, upon private resi- dences whose owners or occupants have placed upon or near the usual entrance there'.o a sign bearing the notice "= eddlers and Solicitors Prohibited", or upon private residences whose owners or occupants have not requested or invited there s ; to Co, is hereby declared to be a nuisance. Section 4:806. Nuisance Prohibited. Any person who shall commit, cause, or create a nuisance as defined herein shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. Section 4:807. Any person other than the person occupying such premises who shall remove, injure or deface the placard or sign referred to in Section ‹.:805, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. Section 4:808. Applicability. This ordinance shall not apply to persons duly licensed or specifically exempted from licensing under the constitution and laws of the State of Minnesota or the ordinances of the City of St. Louis Park, at such times as such persons are conducting only the activity described in such laws and ordinances; it shall not apply to persons ma':ing an uninvited initiatory call u -:o i householders of the City as a preliminary to the subsequent establishment of a i egular route service for the sale and delivery to customers of the daily necessaries of life which are perishable or subject to spoiling within a reasonably short time; and it shall not apply to charitable organizations, and representatives thereof duly_registered under Laws of Minnesota 1961, Chapter 309, M.S.A. Sectio:ls 309.50 to 309.61, or those specifically exempted from registration under the provisions thereof. Section 4:809. Penalty. Any person who shall violate the terms of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine not e;cceeding $100 or by imprisonment for a period not c::seeding 90 days. Section 2, Effective Date. This ordinance shall ta':e effect fifteen days after its publication.
