HomeMy WebLinkAbout782 - ADMIN Ordinance - City Council - 1961/04/24s OriFinal ORDINANCE NO. 782 AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING REGULATIONS GOVERNING CONDITIONS HAZARDOUS TO LIFE AND PROPERTY FROM FIRE OR EXPL:)SION AND ADOPTING BY REFERENCE PORTIONS OF THE NATIONAL BOARD OF FIRE UNDERWRITER CODE, ENTITLED "FIRE PREVENTION CODE, 1960 EDITION", -ND ESTABLISHING A FIRE PREVENTION BUREAU AND PRO- VIDING INSPECTORS THEREFOR AND DEFINING THEIR POWERS AND DUTIES THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: LECTION 1. That cond tions hazardous to life and property from fire or e•.plosion are hereby rel;u ated as follows: Section 5:1100. rldcption of Fire Prevention Code by Reference There is hereby adopted b•r the City of St. Louis Park for the purpose of • prc:.cribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire or explosion, that certain code entitled the "Fire Prevention Code," prepared by the National E•oard of Fire Underwriters, being particularly the 1960 edition thereof, and the whole thereof consisting of Article I, through 30 inclusive. not less than three (3) copies of which code have been and now earc filed in the office of the Clerk of the City of St. Louis Park and marked Official Copies" and the !.arne are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if sct out at length herein, an_1 from the date on which this ordinance shall take effect, the prov_sions thereof shall be controlling within the limits of th. City of St. Louis Park. Section 5:1101. Establishment of Bureau of Fire Prevention. fh� _Tire Prevention Code shall be enforced by the Bureau of Fire Prevention th Fire Department of the Ci,.y of St. Louis Park which is hereby estab- 1 i s:De _• arc which shall be. The limits referred to in Section 16.51 of the t=ire Prevention Cede, in which new bulk plants for flammable liquids are prohibited, are hereby established as follows: Zones comprising a-eas lescr.b`d as R1. R2, R3, R4 and RB, as bounded and established in Ordinance No. 730, passe=d December 28, 1959 known as "St. Louis Park Zoning Ordinance". Section 5: 1105. Establishment of Limits in which Bulk Storage of Liquified Petroleum Gases is to be Restricts::. The limits referred to in Section 21. 6a of the Fire Prevention Code, in which bulk storage of liquified petroleum gas is r estric•.cd, arc hereby established as follows: Zones com- prising areas described is R1, R2, R3, R4, and RB, as bounded and estab- lished in Ordinance No. 730, passed December 23, 1959, known as "St. Louis Park Zoning Ordir ancc". Section 5:1106. Establishment of Limits of Districts in Which Stur a e of Explosives ani Blasting Agents is Prohibited.
