ORDINANCE NO. 74 9 JULY 18, 1960
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE
NO. 698, PASSED JUNE 1, 1959, ENTITLED
AN ORDINANCE REGULATING CONSTRUCTION
OF BUILDINGS: AMENDING THE ST. LOUIS
PARK ORDINANCE CODE RELATING TO THE
BUILDING CODE, SECTION 5:115, ENTITLED
"ADOPTION OF UNIFORM BUILDING CODE BY
REFERENCE", AND ADOPTING BY REFERENCE
PORTIONS OF THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
OF BUILDING OFFICIALS CODE, ENTITLED
"UNIFORM BUILDING CODE, 1958 EDITION"
The City of St. L •uis Park does ordain:
Section 1. That Section Two (2), of Ordinance No. 698, passed
June 1, 1959, entitled "An Ordinance Regulating Construction of Buildings:
Amending the St. Louis Park Ordinance Code Relating to The Building Code
Section 5:115, Entitled "Adoption of Uniform Building Code by Reference",
And Adopting by Reference Portions of the International Conference of
Building Officials Code, Entitled "Uniform Building Code, 1958 Edition,
is hereby amended by adding to Section 3205 of said Uniform Building
Code, 1958 Edition, Volume I, as follows:
Attics: Access and Areas,
All attic spaces and enclosed roof joist spaces
shall be provided with screened ventilators or
louvers, the minimum aggregate area of which
shall equal 6-2/3 sq. ft. of vent area per 1, 000
sq. ft. of attic space. If a vapor seal is provided
over the ceiling joist, the aggregate vent area
may be reduced to 31 sq. ft. of vent area per 1, 000
sq. ft. of attic space or fraction thereof. Vents or
louvers shall be so designed as to weather-proof the
enclosed area that is to be ventilated.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after
its publication.

THE ST LOUIS PARK DISPATCH has had in its makeup not less than twenty-five percent
of its news columns devoted to local news of interest to said community it purports to serve, the
press work of which has been done in its said known place of publication, has contained general
news, comments and miscellany, has not duplicated any other publication, has not been entire-
ly made up of patents, plate matter and advertisements, has been circulated at and near its said
place of publication to the extent of 240 copies regularly delivered to paying subscribers, has been
entered as second class mail matter in local post office of its said place of publication, that there
has been on file in the office of the County Auditor of said county the affidavit of a person hav-
ing first hand knowledge of the facts constituting its qualifications as a newspaper for publication
of legal notices, and that its publishers have complied with all demands of said County Auditor
for proofs of its said qualification A copy of each issue has been filed with the State Historical
Society, St Paul.
