LOUIS PARK ORDINANCE CODE RELATING TO THE BUILDING CODE, SECTION 5:115, ENTITLED "ADOPTION OF UNIFORM BUILDING CODE BY REFERENCE", AND ADOPTING BY REFERENCE PORTIONS OF THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF BUILDING OFFICIALS CODE, ENTITLED "UNIFORM BUILDING CODE, 1958 EDITION" The City of St. L •uis Park does ordain: Section 1. That Section Two (2), of Ordinance No. 698, passed June 1, 1959, entitled "An Ordinance Regulating Construction of Buildings: Amending the St. Louis Park Ordinance Code Relating to The Building Code Section 5:115, Entitled "Adoption of Uniform Building Code by Reference", And Adopting by Reference Portions of the International Conference of Building Officials Code, Entitled "Uniform Building Code, 1958 Edition, is hereby amended by adding to Section 3205 of said Uniform Building Code, 1958 Edition, Volume I, as follows: Attics: Access and Areas, All attic spaces and enclosed roof joist spaces shall be provided with screened ventilators or louvers, the minimum aggregate area of which shall equal 6-2/3 sq. ft. of vent area per 1, 000 sq. ft. of attic space. If a vapor seal is provided over the ceiling joist, the aggregate vent area may be reduced to 31 sq. ft. of vent area per 1, 000 sq. ft. of attic space or fraction thereof. Vents or louvers shall be so designed as to weather-proof the enclosed area that is to be ventilated. Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its publication.
