HomeMy WebLinkAbout748 - ADMIN Ordinance - City Council - 1960/06/13Original • 1 5/24/60 ORDINANCE NO. 748 MAY 31, 1960 AN ORDINANCE VACATING ALLEY THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. It is hereby determined that a petition in writing signed by a majority of all of the owners of all property abutting upon both sides of the alley proposed to be vacated and a majority of all of the owners in the entire block which contains the alley hereinafter described, has been duly filed with the City Clerk, requesting vacation of said alley, and the City Clerk has furnished a copy of said petition to the City Manager who has reported filing of same to the City Council, and the Clerk has published notice in the official city newspaper, the St. Louis Park Dispatch, on May 19, 1960 as directed by the Council and the City Council has met at the time and place as published in said notice and has conducted a public hearing on said petition and hereby determines that said alley is not needed for public pur- poses, and that it is for the best interests of the public that said alley be vacated as petitioned. Section 2. The following described length of alley, as now dedicated and laid out within the corporate limits of the City of E.A. Louis Park, be here- by vacated: That certain length of the East and 1'7est alley from Zarthan Avenue East to Yosemite Avenue Vacated between Goodrich Avenue and Oxford Avenue. Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to prepare a Notice of Completion containing a copy of this ordinance and to file the same for record forthwith in the Office of the Register of Deeds or Registrar of Titles, in and for the County of Hennepin, Minnesota, as the case may be. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its publication. Adopted by the City Council June 13, 1960.
