LOUIS PARK CODE RELATING TO "PRIMARY CITY ELECTIONS" SECTION 1:1063, ENTITLED "PRIMARY ELECTIONS" THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK DOES ORDAIN: SEP 14 1959 Section 1. That the Section No. 1:1063 of the St. Louis Park Ordinance Code is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 1:1063. Primary Elections At the first regular meeting of the City Council following the last day for filing nomination petitions for any regular city election, the City Manager shall inform the City Council in writing as to the nomination petitions which have been filed with the City Clerk for the purpose of nominating candidates for the next ensuing regular City election, as the same have been certified to the Manager by the Clerk. As authorized by Section 4.03 of the City Charter, whenever three or more candidates have filed for any city-wide office, or for councilman from any ward, or wards, the City Council shall then provide by resolution or ordinance for holding a primary election, city-wide, or in any particular ward or wards, and shall fix the date of such election and the time and place of holding same. which date shall be seven (7) weeks to the general City election. All provisions of the St. Louis Park Ordinance Code relative to preparation of ballots and conduct of election, and preparation for general city elections shall be applicable to City primary elections. Charter 4. 03. Section 2, This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its publication. Adopted by the City Cou :ci Septemb 59.
