HomeMy WebLinkAbout639 - ADMIN Ordinance - City Council - 1958/08/25N ORIGINAL • • 8®13-58 ORDINANCE NO. 639 AN ORDINANCE VACATING ALLEY The City of St. Louis Park ordains: Section 1. It is hereby determined that a petition in writing signed by a majority of all of the owners of all property abutting upon both sides of the Alley in the entire block which contains the alley hereinafter described, has been duly filed with the City Clerk, re- questing vacation of said alley, and the City Clerk has furnished a copy of said petition to the City Manager who has reported filing of same to the City Council, and the Clerk has published notice in the official city newspaper, the St. Louis Park Dispatch, on July 31st, 1958, as directed by the Council and the City Council has met at the time and place as published in said notice and has conducted a public hearing on said petition and hereby determines that said Alley is not needed for public purposes, and that it is for the best interests of the public that said alley be vacated as petitioned. Section 2. The following described length of alley, as now dedicated and laid out within the corporate limits of the City of St. Louis Park, be hereby vacated: That portion of Alley lying between Cambridge Avenue and West 39th Street from Brunswick Avenue to the railroad tracks, abutting Lots 1, 2, 9, Iii, Block 69, St. Louis Park Addition and Lot 11, Block 69, Rearrangement4 of St. Louis Park, according to plats thereof on file and of record in the office of the Register of Deeds in and for Hennepin County, Minnesota. Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to prepare a Notice of Completion containing a copy of this ordinance and to file the same for record forthwith in the 'Office of the Register of Deeds or Registrar of Titles, in and for the County of Hennepin, as the case may be. 5a r • Section This ordinance shall take effect fifteen days after its publication.
