Council was informed about significant problems with the tennis courts which have developed deep cracks in the playing surface. The cost for repair is prohibitive and the recommendation is to remove the tennis courts from the area entirely Mr. Gears indicated that discussions are taking place regarding the creation of a six-court facility somewhere in the southern section of the City Council also reviewed options for a perimeter path around Wolfe Lake and discussed three options for its placement. The width of the proposed Town Green was discussed and in light of discussion which took place at the Park Commons Workshop on December 8th, council agreed that the green should be 150' in width. Though this will mean some changes in grading and soil placement, Council felt it was warranted. Proposed design drawings for shelter buildings were reviewed and discussed. Mr. Gears indicated that in order to complete construction on the buildings prior to December of 1998, construction plans would need to be completed immediately Council appeared comfortable with the design concepts and indicated their support for moving ahead with detailed construction plans. 4.
