Mayor Pro Tem Keith Meland called the meeting to order at 10: 15 p.m. 2. Present were Councilmembers Jeff Jacobs, Allen Friedman, Larry Mitchell , Gail Dorfman and Keith Meland. Also present were the City Manager, Administrative Assistant, Director of Community Development and David Kroos from Boarman & Assoc. The City Manager summarized for the Council those items that Council requested to be reviewed following its Feb. 4, 1992 meeting with David Kroos of Boarman and Assoc. Among the items identified were parking requirements, the tennis courts, building entrances and shooting range. Considerable discussion ensued relating to the aforementioned items. David Kroos provided a variety of options to the Council pertaining to the subjects of interest. After discussion, the Council appeared to agree on the following: 1 . Three tennis courts will be retained; 2. Parking proposed by the architect for the east side of the Police facility will be removed; 3. If feasible the mid-building entrances on the east side and the west side of the facility will be retained. This determination will be made by the architect in consultation with staff; 4. The principal public entrance to the facility will be of a rounded nature at the northeast corner of the building; 5. Parking will be lost from the existing City Hall parking lot in a range of 6-8 spaces. 5. The Department of Community Development was instructed to reassess parking requirements for police facilities in the current and proposed zoning ordinance and, if necessary, to propose amendments thereto. 7. The shooting range will be contained in the new facility. The meeting adjourned at 11 :00 p.m. Bill Dixon Recording Secretary
